BTW, Phelps may be crazy, but he's not stupid. Read his testimony in the Supreme Court and you'll realize that he's a very skilled lawyer, although he was debarred for courtroom antics. His children are mostly lawyers running apparently the law firm he started.

Phelps himself claims to have handled the lawsuit that become the model for Brown v Board of Education. He early work was in civil rights law.
