Until I looked for the NYSE site to see what the hell was going on up there, I had forgotten that the place is now...

Hint for the "if you can't beat them, join them" crowd. Buy property in Mexico at bargain basement prices while you can. I noticed about 5 yrs ago while I was researching buying some property in Mexico that it was still very cheap except I also noticed where foreign investors were building mega complexes with high end condo's, etc. Mexico made it easier for foreigners to buy property a while back and daddy warbucks were swooping in and taking advantage.

I read a few years back that there was a mass exodus. In addition, I read about these private islands that they were developing. I found it interesting that some were moving to India. I'd rather face the brave new world here than move to India. Lucky for me, there are other places to move.

I was thinking more of investment than finding a safe place to live. My train of thought is the closer we come to the NAU, the higher the property will rise in Mexico and the lower the property will fall in the U.S. Canada's property is already expensive. Mexico's was cheap...at least when I was researching it 5 yrs ago.

Since there are alot of daddy warbucks investing there now, I'd say I was on the right track . I sure wouldn't buy their inflated condo's though.
