Folks....You hear alot of people in the media, even the president talking about democracy....However, the U.S. was formed as a constitutional Republic...If you read the writings popular communists like marx, lenin, stalin, gorbechev ect ect...They talk over and over about democracy..."Democracy" is the vehicle that allows communistic/socialistic policies to creep in...Eventually, once communsim/socialism is in it will eventually lead to a dictatorship...

The difference this time is it's in danger of happening on a global scale..

I'm so glad I got to live in the tail end of what the US once was. Well if you consider being born in 76' and growing up in the 80's the tailend of that.

I just remember when police were friends, not military police, easy times(aside from financial), hardly and survalinace, faimly values and reunions, community values, independant business thriving, etc.

I was born in '74. The thing I remember most growing up was having a patriotic grandmother. She took me to DC, Philly and Plymouth Rock all in the same summer. She instilled into me that our rights were worth fighting for. She was a patriot inside and out. My family served this country for as far back as I know. Every war in the 20th century had a number of my family members fighting in them.

And here we are.. Election 2008. No rights. Endless war. Crashing dollar.

Its a disgrace to send our children around the world to die and strip them of their God given rights at home.

Printing the money causes declines in our dollar versus other countries. This encourages foreign investment and a huge influx of foreign ownership of US assets. Ultimately the nation will be over run by this foreign investment.

Do I have to tell you what happens next? Foreign lobbyist in Washington raping the masses for even more Corporate subsidies and spending. AKA, foreign firms sending profits back overseas.

We are infested with Collectivism. Socialism, Fascism, Communism are all forms of collectivism.
With Dems and Reps we are now forced to choose between two forms of collectivism. They are two different branches from the same tree. Dems= state socialism, Reps = Corporate Fascism. Both are authoritarian forms of rule.

Totally agree. Fascism and communism are essentially the same thing. That video is great and explains is all very well, I've watched it several times before.

Thats when people had more freedom. They felt free. They were free. There was not direct government intrusion into their lives. Heck you could even go to your local hardware store and buy a muffler(silencer) for you favorite firearm -- yes, you could even buy a fully automatic thompson sub machine gun if you wished, and without the governments approval.

Those were the days. I want them BACK! and a Thompson to.

Thompsons are sweet!! My friend has one... also, an Uzi, Sten, MP5, BAR, MG-42, Mosin Nagant, pistols everywhere, and about 100 other things I can't remember.

Well, first, it's more like corporatism, a form of fascism. However it's not really that bad. The problem is the people. We the people are, to be frank, stupid, lazy, and intolerant.

Stupid, because most people will believe what ever comes out of their boob tube and they don't think critically about what they hear. Stupid, because they believe the promises made by politicians who have a contradicting record of actions and results.

Lazy, because people just won't take the time to look into policy and vote. I was talking to the CIO of one of my former clients last night. He's not voting in the primary because he's too busy.

Intolerant, because most people are offended by politics and the open discussion of ideas. Intolerant, because people have adopted the class, age, and race warfare encouraged by the policy makers in Washington.

While I was never intolerant, I was surely stupid and lazy. I'm just lucky I was cured.
