Welcome Former Bachmann Supporters!

I guess I could consider myself a former bachmann supporter. I probably like her overall more than Ron becuz I just can't hop on Paul's foreign policy just yet. But she has become too irrelevant to matter so I guess I'm now between Paul, Perry, and Santorum. And yea I know the latter two have their problems but Ron does too imo.

Thats cool. I was in your same position in 2007. Agreed with everything but foreign policy (but still wanted to vote for him since he was just so amazing in all other areas)

Now i'm basically in full agreement with Ron. Hope you stick around.

Yeah, Dr. Paul following the constitution of these United States is a big problem in your opinion.

The Constitution does not specify foreign policy strategies. There are procedural specifications though. You should know this.

I believe Bachmann was attacking Obama for not going to Congress for permission to wage war against Libya,

The fact he follows the Constitution is the reason I'm drawn to him. It's the security I'm unsure about. I mean, I may support RP in this election but I don't plan on converting to Libertarianism.

agreeing 80-90% is a good place to start. romney winning would be horrible for the party. hope you stick around.

I'd say I'm around 85 % same beliefs as him right now.

Ron's Foreign Policy is admittedly difficult to swallow...especially initially.
When I first heard his stance on Iraq, back in 2004 I thought he was NUTS.

Since then, I've read numerous books and watched many testimonials from people in the know (CIA, FBI, etc), and I started to realize that I've been duped.
Ron Paul needed to convince me that he wasn't a Dove though because I can't support someone who wants to bury his head in the sand.

What I've learned through reading his speeches, etc., is that Ron Paul's biggest flaw is NOT his stance....but his delivery.
He's just not very good, for whatever reason, at espousing his beliefs that if there's a threat against us that he would ask Congress for approval, fight the war, win the war and get out of the war.

Ron Paul's biggest issues isn't war per se. It's not following the Constitutional requirement to get Congressional approvel first.

No need to become a libertarian. Believe it or not most of Ron Paul's support is with independents and regular gopers.

that is great. i think ron has been misrepresented. if the people and the congress declare war against Iran, Ron will do what the people want. What he won't do is going into a country without the support of the people and the congress. media propoganda can be brutal if you haven't noticed.

and please don't mind some of the rude comments. internets is full of 'em.

I would give you more rep if not for the spreading the reputation around popup.

This is a golden opportunity to solidify our support in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Michelle Bachman just misthrew a pass, and we can easily intercept it and run it in for a touchdown!

I'd consider myself a pretty extreme conservative, not really an indie or regular street person, but it is good he does draw that crowd I guess. I mean I agree completely with Libertarian economic thought (i.e. Austrian School) but the social liberalism and foreign policy doesn't necessarily fall in line with me, although the foreign is starting to grow. I'd say if anything I could associate with Paleo-Conservatives like Chuck Baldwin.

I honestly like having you around CRP. It gives us all a chance to show diplomacy and refine our discussions with others. If anyone ever gives you crap - you let me know. ;)

Former democrat here. Converted in 2006 to GOPer.

Hahah thanks mosquito bite, its good to know I'm not annoying the crap out of everyone here, because I know this is a forum for Ron Paul supporters. And i haven't gotten much bs, only a little, but its alright.

I often joke that I am too right wing for the GOP. ;) I consider myself an EXTREME right wing (a tea party member that the media/left love to hate).

For me, I cannot justify wars that we cannot afford. If you look throughout history - great empires always fall economically - why? Because they overreach with WARS. We cannot "win" a war on terror any more than we can "win" a war on drugs or a war on poverty. All of it. ALL of it - is a fricken toilet that we flush hard earned AMERCIAN dollars down the toilet so that some fat cat can get rich of it all (be it war profiteers or politicians).

Was, for me. I mean for her age she still isn't bad looking but I bet she was a knock out 20 years ago. Heck even 10 yrs ago.

huh? She's doesn’t have anything on Sarah Palin, they are not even in the same league let alone ball park. To me she is downright hideous. Sorry, I call it like I see it.

Oh, but all you former Bachmann supporters are welcome here and should not be afraid of Ron Paul's foriegn policy. He loves this country, he isn't going to let anyone run over us.

I even use to like Michelle's positions for the most part too until she lost her mind. :D Sorry you went though all that. Ron Paul won't flake out on you. He is as solid as a rock.

Yes it certainly does, and I love liberty just as much (if not more so) than many on here (One of my all time heroes and person I'm using for my senior quote is Patrick Henry, the guy who thought the Constitution was too progressive). There's just some things I don't like to consider liberating that some of the RP guys do. Idk, call me inconsistent but whatever.

Despite all the anti-Bachmann sentiment on RPF, I think she has the most integrity behind Ron Paul. She is sometimes called a liar by RPF members but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and say she is simply misinformed on a number of key facts.

Even with the campaign shake-up today, campaign staffers could very well be the ones to be lying about the defectors being offered a large sum of money. They may feel obligated to lie to improve her chances.

I guess You haven't quite figured out the fact that war is the biggest form of corporate welfare their is. I don't know about You but I find it quite disturbing that some people love to make money by killing people. Hell We might as well all do it right? The people in government see no problems with killing people for money so why shouldn't I? Well there is some boundrys that shouldn't be crossed and thats what seperates US Paul supporters from the real terrorists.

Good points; and one thing I do respect about Ron's foreign is that its the foreign policy of the founders. Washington himself advised us not too get entangled in messy alliances and we became a great nation because of it. I just don't know though. The damn nuclear age.
