Wearing suits to the march?

I was just looking at some old MLK Photos and almost all of his supporters dressed very nice, and look very professional. I thought maybe we should all look professional for the march... show that we really mean business!

If a large majority of us wear suits at the march on washington do you think that would improve our image? just a thought.

Cool we would look like Jake and Elwood Blues of "The Blues Brothers!"

What looks really nice in a large crowd is when everyone wears the same color shirt, say Red, or Blue. This monochromatic effect can be often seen at College football games and soccer games. Pretty effective.

Great Idea! whats the offical shirt color?

I think the option of Red, White or Blue shirts would work. It would look like a giant american flag marching from an aerial shot.

I like the idea itself of looking similar. But regarding suits, at these times I guess it was more common for people to wear suits than it is today. I mean it was part of the fashion of this period.

You'll be lucky if I even wear a shirt....it will probably be 80-90 degrees and hopefully sunny...

You guys can wear what you want. I will probably find a flag T-shirt or something.

Would anyone suggest that we go marching to DC dressed up as Guy Fawkes or George Washington? :D

I say all men wear suits. C'mon its a worthy sacrifice.

As for women, wear your birthday suits. ;)

I don't know about suits...remember, MLK march was in another era...men wore suits and hats, women dresses and gloves.

I think casual would be okay...especially considering Memorial Day could be HOT and HUMID in Washington D.C. Its about the message, and the number of people who support it, NOT what they choose to wear.
