No body is asking anybody to go out and rent a tux or something - so relax! By the same token no one is asking anyone to burn their bras either!
We want to appear as respectable people in a respectable place, as a show of respect to the leader of this movement the Honorable Dr. Ron Paul.
Look at this way - Ron Paul wears suits and ties to every single event - have you noticed this? He wears this as a show of respect to US, his supporters. Even when the weather is warm and the stage lights are hot - he wears a suit and tie and a jacket. If he gets too warm he may take the jacket off and loosen his tie a bit or perhaps roll up his sleeves. How would it have been if he had shown up at the debates wearing jeans and a tee and a raggety pair of running shoes?
It is a deep lack of respect to Doctor Paul if you show him any less courtesy than what he has shown to you. That is just my opinion as an avid supporter myself.
So stop whining already - even the Founding Fathers knew it was important to dress correctly for the occassion - they didn't even have AC back in those days for pete's sake!
So take a few deep breaths and relax. If I can can find a good ironing board, I might even go get my birthday suit pressed just for the occasion!![]()

Your limitations and your redefining what is respect or disrespect is to me very disrespectful of the very ideas that Ron Paul represents. Who, by the way, is very pro-individual libertarian. Looks to me you're the square peg in the round hole here.
