Weak voters are getting mad because we're CALLING THEM SO MUCH.

I do wonder, myself. I remember with Rand we were finally asked to stop with GOTV because the list had started cycling again to called people, but I haven't seen that said here yet.

I imagine a lot is going on with the campaign and it is getting down to the wire. They might not be aware of it, plus there are more than one phone bank for RP that are calling.

Hopefully we get this fixed and it doesn't cost us too much.
I know some people are angry, but hopefully they'll get over it and caucus for Paul because deep down in their hearts they know it's the right thing to do.

If anything else, you could also blame it on the Occupy Hacktivists!!11oneone
You know... conpiiirrracyyy... maaaan.

Then stop calling. Just because the campaign did not tell you to stop does not mean you should keep calling. If the campaign told you to jump off a bridge would you do it? You gotta use your own judgment.

and if a group of enthused people, in the age of computers, cannot come up with one comprehensive call bank that checks and triple checks that ppl are not harassed, then i wash my hands. Once again, WE are the reason if this campaign fails again.

You would be amazed at how stupid phonebanking technology is. I have worked at multiple call centers, and they all apparently use the same technology. It's simply a "list" that is fed to a computer, and the computer regurgitates the numbers as it has them on list. The fact this is 2012 and nobody has a better system, really is stupid.

FYI the phone from home program is RUN by the campaign NOT the grassroots. WE didn't do anything wrong. ALL WE did was call as was requested by the campaign. So the screw up isn't our fault, it is the fault of whoever set up the Phone from Home program from the campaign.

I stopped calling a couple hours ago when the last 20+ calls were all overlaps. Think about it, if we had 3,000 people calling and doing 50+calls an hour, we'd have 150,000 calls in an hour, more than the total number of expected caucus goers. I think we need to hang it up for a bit!

If its happening to you more than 10-20% of the time I would definitely stop calling guys...

My last 10 calls and that was about an hour or so ago. I lost track of time, but the later in the day it got the worse it got. No one was pissed, but this is something they need to work on before next week. No sense duplicating efforts. There must be a glitch in the system and numbers were not getting dumped out.

The campaign should switch it over to NH calls. Lots of people are signing in to call and we need more calls to NH.

Some common sense...
The campaign needs to get on top of this type of stuff ASAP, unless they don't think the annoyed callers are going to go vote anyway.

Campaign should just shut it down.

I agree. With the number of volunteers we have, we have made more calls than there are people going to the caucus. In my opinion, the handful that we might find that have not been called, may not be worth the ones that we have called for the 5th time in a row.

90% of my calls have been people who have already been contacted and are wanting to be put on DO NOT CALL lists. One guy said he was on do not call and was STILL getting calls. I know people are getting off work soon so I'm not sure how we should handle this.

People got called last night and all day yesterday too. If they are at work today, they probably have a voice mail or several of them from us. And realistically, if they are caucusing tonight they are coming home, getting a snack and heading back out. They have to be there by 7, but usually well before that.

Just got a call "Yeah, you guys have been harassing the %?*# out of my cellphone, so I'm not even interested anymore"

No kidding guys, I'm afraid we're spamming people so they don't want to vote anymore.

Let the Ron Paul Headquarters know about this: http://www.ronpaul2012.com/contact-us/

They aren't necessarily weak voters, some people just don't like being harassed. It's super annoying to be in the middle of something, have to run to the phone, then find out it's yet another political call. It's even worse if its the second, third, or fourth call of the day.

I love Ron Paul, but I'd probably be cursing his name (or at least cursing his staff) if I was getting repeated calls.

I'll bet the people in Iowa, at this point, have been harassed for weeks (from all the campaigns)- phone calls, mailers, commercials, people pounding on the door. I can understand why they might be getting a bit testy.

If Iowa voters are telling us that they've received multiple calls, it's time to STOP.

Milo and i tried to warn the board about over saturation
a few days ago, after our experiences in Fla 4 yrs ago,
and caught a lot of flack, for doing so.

Just sayin ...
