We warned them....

They said it's more important to have Clint Eastwood speak to an empty chair than to invite Ron Paul to speak at the convention. I am so frustrated by the GOP. We need a total change in party leadership.

Dan Senor and Carl Rove are all about war and intolerance. That is not a winning recipe.

To get a speaking spot Paul had to endorse Romney.

Before you get all out of sorts about "told you so's" and "not without us" remember, to get elected, you'll need them to support you.

I had a conversation with Dr. Paul about this. They offered him a speaking spot but he had to say certain things that he wasn't willing to say. He never told me they required him to endorse Romney in order to speak.

And I don't agree that we need them. "Them" is the establishment. "Them" is the sheeple. The GOP is in ruins. We don't need them, they need us.

I thought that farmland is ready to be seized by an executive order that Obama signed. Won't farms be seized?

The Holodomor (Ukrainian: Голодомор, 'Морити голодом', or hunger-extermination[2]) was a man-made famine in the Ukrainian SSR between 1932 and 1933. During the famine, which is also known as the "Terror-Famine in Ukraine" and "Famine-Genocide in Ukraine",[3][4][5] millions of Ukrainians died of starvation in a peacetime catastrophe unprecedented in the history of Ukraine.[6]

...Joseph Stalin.

--- during which...children were gunned down while attempting to nab morsels of grain or corn from the fields. All the while, New york Times reporter, Walter Durante, covered up the intentional mass starvation of the independent minded farmers in rural Ukraine.

If Obama does try Uncle Joe's trick(after economic collapse), it won't work out so well for him. For 15 years prior to the Holodomor the communist had been confiscating firearms from the people. The farmers didn't have much of a chance- especially since many of the city folk supported Stalin's effort and considered the farms to be a part of the collective. But here in the US, the farmers are well armed and have many allies.

Who knows what lay in store for the US and citizenry -- be prepared for anything.

So right! The establishment is but a fraction of the number of REAL fiscal and Constitutional conservatives in this country. It's they we need the support of but we must always remember that the media is THE single largest and most influential lobby in our country and, they will ignore ANY candidate who threatens the status quo. That simply means they would have destroyed Ron Paul even worse than they did to Romney. If the people could just hear the voice of reason they would follow it.
Those who did, followed it. That voice of reason was Ron Paul and THAT is why he could fill up football stadiums yet not win a primary. It was mostly the people who heard him listened to him and, had the gumption to support him despite the constant barage in the media of ignoring him or when they did mention him they made sure to mentiion that "he can't win". I think if he got decent media coverage and the respect that he more than deserves he would have RUN AWAY with the primary and beat Obama in a frigging landslide!!

Yes, please be prepared. History is about to repeat itself. Rome is about to burn - again. Durante also left out the cannibalism that was going on at the time too.

How do we control the media? If we are as powerful as they claim (we lost Romney's election) then how can we parlay that into getting control of the media? Through their advertisers? How do we get them to really listen to us?

Gridlock matters not to a President who constantly writes executive orders. Congress has rendered itself irrelevant, I'm sorry to say. And, if the GOP had been the LEAST bit respectful to Ron and his supporters (specifically our platform), the outcome just might have been better for the GOP. Ron would have stood a much better chance against Obama. But alas, tptb would have nothing of it.

You're right about that. Congress has spent the last 50 years creating agencies to handle the issues they're supposed to handle, enabling them to wash their hands entirely of the unpopular laws that are enacted without a single elected official voting for or against them.

They complain a little about the executive orders, but seeing that they don't actually get SCOTUS involved, or move to impeach him for not upholding the Oath of Office, it's pretty clear they have a much different end game in mind.

I really wish Ron Paul wasn't such an honest man. In some ways, it would have been pretty awesome to have them approve an entirely different speech than the one he ultimately delivered. But that's not his nature, and if it was, we wouldn't be here.

That exact thought goes through my head all the time. "Just once it would be nice to see him just go off and say......" I think to myself. But, as you said, it's not his nature, and that is one of things we find honorable about him.
