We should start getting ready... NOW

Why are we waiting for Ron Paul to announce? We should be starting to put in efforts NOW to prepare for his 2012 run. We could be making signs, designing new slogans, gathering information, getting websites built..... There are dozens of things that we did in a short time DURING the 08' Campaign. Imagine if we have much of the work ready to go when he announces rather then starting to get together then.

With that in mind we should all work to agree on a sign design that will truly identify the grassroots part of the Revolution similar to the ones from 08 but with a new flair.

As for sites...I've been working on http://www.theronpaulteaparty.com I've been trying to get all of the functionality of meetup.com in there but with the whole site focussed on Ron Paul events and planning.

In preparation for Ron Paul's 2012 run, I've been creating guides for my state on how to become a state delegate, an RNC delegate, and how to get Ron Paul on the ballot in my state.

I recommend that everyone familiarize themselves with the aforementioned processes in their own state. Such knowledge will be vital in the coming months.

I absolutely agree with this, but we also need to convince him to run. Please send him a letter letting him know how he has inspired you. Let him know that you want to see him run in 2012. Ron Paul is the only man who truly represents we the people. Let him know that he we need someone representing us in those debates, we need someone representing us on that ballet because when I walk into the voting booth I want to know that there is at least one name that I can count on to be a true leader and a true representative. One name that I can feel confident and good about voting for. That man is Ron Paul. Please everyone encourage him to run in 2012. We are running out of time. Ron Paul announced his run in February of 2007 so we need to convince him by the beginning of this up coming year. My letter is typed up and I am sending it this week. Please contact Ron Paul and help convince him to represent us just as he did in the 2008 election.

I completely agree with this.

He's stated quite a few times that him running in '12 is directly related to the support for such a run. "If somebody will listen to me, I’ll probably talk." It's our job to inspire him this time. Time to let the Good Dr. know we're listening.

I don't think the information should be public. It's a lot of research and making it available to everyone means rival campaigns can simply direct their supporters to our end result of our hard work. It should be disseminated by the campaign rather than the grassroots. That said, this will only be possible if the campaign is very effective at reaching out to supporters. If not, then of course we will have to spread the message.

Quite a few information sites by state are available through the C4L precinct leader program. That's what C4L is there fro: education. I do a little bit of the program each summer when I'm home in the states. If your state has a C4L lead POC, you could contact them. I know some states have more active chapters than others. I think in NH, the Meet-Ups are still the means of much of the organizing.

Soo what's up with these MeetUps ? Our 2008 Campaign MeetUp on MeetUp.com isn't anymore. It was discussed wether it would change names to C4L, Libertarian, Militia (lol) but all decided to just drop it.

Is the organizer from 2008 Lebanon County MeetUp comin' back ? He didn't even live around here just came to this city to start our MeetUp then I guess left after RP's campaign was ended.

Is the Lebanon County Ron Paul MeetUp on MeetUp.com up for grabs for 2012 ? If so, I want it. I have a group here antzy, not on the internet that I've managed to round up that want to get meeting up officially.. same place same time as last campaign. I already got permission to resume at our meetup location. He's waiting.

Anyone know these things ? I'd like MeetUp.com because they send all updates via email to members via cell phones nowadays, facebook doesn't. We need that kinda thing for RPer's not online over here.
