We need to clear the confusion on Ron Paul

Ron Paul also supports the legalization of industrial hemp which is the most environmentally friendly green plant on earth.
Job creation, earth friendly products, industrial applications ... opportunity.

I agree with the OP, there needs to be a way to better show Ron's good traits to people who are either mostly apathetic or aren't incredibly knowledgeable on things he supports. Everyone I've ever known gives about 0% of their attention to getting rid of the IRS and abolishing the Federal Reserve, whilst a good ~60% of them are for pulling the troops out fairly soon and don't buy the BS that we'll eventually leave. On social matters, clarifying his position on Social Security and welfare is HUGE, as well as clarifying what non-interventionism is. Most of the people I've known that have heard of Ron Paul think he wants to get rid of welfare, return to an archaic gold standard, and be isolationist. This is wrong, and even introducing just a few of his nuances in these positions would bring a lot more consideration to him as a candidate.

Finally, I think the biggest thing we could do to 'clear up' Ron Paul's name is just to let people know what a President can and can not do. Namely, he CAN NOT just wave a wand and have the income tax abolished along with all environmental regulations--he CAN wave a wand and bring the troops home, saving troops lives and tax payer money, and ending the wars in the Middle East. We can all agree that this is his most popular position among voters across the spectrum, and emphasizing that this is something that can be accomplished is key. Just my two cents.

Ok this one is still obviously biased towards Ron Paul, but it at least gives a few ticks to other candidates too :p

I just had an idea. Make a questionnaire of these same issues excluding the candidates, and pass them out to people to fill out what they think on each position. At the bottom, have a link to where they could visit a website which features the above ^^^image^^^ of what each candidate voted for on each issue. Hazaah!

I'd like to think that most people would be shocked to find out that their views are inline more so with Ron Paul than anybody else. They couldn't deny him then.

Better yet, perhaps a chain email with the questionnaire might be more effective.

What does everyone think?

I seriously doubt most people have heard of Ron Paul. I saw a stat this morning that 22% of voters thought Obamacare had been repealed. I sound like an elitist by saying this, but the majority of citizens in the US do not pay attention to politics at all.

I hope you get some serious replies, but with your brand new membership to the forum you gotta realize a lot of us have been thinking about, posting about and acting on this subject for 4 years now..

Hence the REAL actual Ron Paul blimp displayed above..

personally i think the blimp had more impact then some on rpf think. I kinda think smaller blimps would be more effective, maybe check height restrictions in states and cities along with suburbs! for example i have a friend in highlands ranch colorado , think weeds intro song! A well placed smaller blimp tied down and floating 1000 ft in the air or more could be seen by interstates and 10,000 homes if not more. yeah i know hoa and many other regulations would have to be checked etc etc ,but more afforable smaller blimps could have a HUGE IMPACT on all cities at once!!! i am not talking the little balloon blimps maybe something the size of a vw car etc etc

How much do these small blimps cost?

How much do these small blimps cost?

I have not researched that part yet! I was also thinking a plane with a sign on all major beaches east west and south would be highly effective everyone reads the flying planes while at the beaches!!! if it was feasible for smaller blimps and planes with signs. I would think we would buy in bulk as a movement to bring down costs!! research would have to be done so all the lil blimps were "legal" ps some people closer to the planning of ron paul 2008 blimp like trevor or others might have a better clue on smaller blimp prices!!

edit: There are alot of cities that have huge housing areas apts and houses many of these have just a few access points as well!! Ron Paul 2012 goal have every access point covered legally that we can!!

ps on a lighter note ,they could be used as anti-aircraft defense in case the us gov attacks americans;)

I think what would be best is if it could be created like those online quizzes where you select your answers and then click the results to see who most represents you. However, I don't know how to create one, nor a webpage for that matter. Anyone?

I think what I'm going to do is get as big of a balloon I can, like what car dealerships have, and stencil Ron Paul 2012 on it and attach it with a 100ft rope from my house. If people piss and moan, I'll refuse to take it down until the media runs a story on it.

Any web design gurus, by all means, please chime in.

Most people have heard of Ron Paul by now, however there is confusion surrounding him. We need to figure a way to persuade people to Paul's camp. Fliers, internet posts, door-to-door, talk radio spots (I have done this already), radio ads, whatever. Leave suggestions below.

What "confusion surrounding him" specifically are you referring to? What prompted you to write this thread?
