We need our own state.

The biggest question surrounding any island nation we may decide to pursue is, "How do we secure allodial title?"

By purchase or military.

Actually, I bet if we promised to all go off to this other country the neo-cons and socialists would authorize a military strike on Cuba to secure it and hand us title so that they can destroy this country in peace.

Well, we will just have to start "Oceania" then with the old USA ideals of freedom & liberty on an island-by-island basis.

Frank,

Maybe between now and the next "terrorist" attack many will continue to think so. Afterwards, I think not...

See my thread this morning on the MSM's first confirmation of Halliburton detention camps in the USA.

It may change your thinking.

Why not just move to a different country like Switzerland?

I vote for Texas as well. The weather is better than in the north, costs of living are cheaper here, and there are jobs-a-plenty. The spirit of independence and distrust of government (and socialist yankees) is strong here as well.

Plus, we could really screw with the plan for the NAU. The establishment knows Texas is important, which is why they have pretty-boy Perry firmly in place as governor.

And to the people concerned about tornadoes: come on. I've lived in Texas my whole life and have only had to duck into a closet once to hide from a tornado. Tornados are used as an MSM scare tactic to keep patriots from moving to Texas, and messing with TPTB's plan. I was in Colorado this weekend and couldn't watch the weather without hearing about all the tornadoes about to rip Houston to pieces. I come back and everyone here is complaining that they didn't even get any rain, and that the weather was overhyped as usual.

Cash out of your crazy expensive coastal homes and move to the bastion of liberty. If it's good enough for Ron, it's good enough for the rest of us....trust me.

I can tell you that if the plan is to buy an Island and start a new country...there may be several in the community of international supporters who might like the idea and join. (me included :))

Interesting, this could have international support. Expansion is limited because it's an island though.

Well, I signed up with the NH FSP. I'm pretty stoked. I've already gotten emails offering to help me find land, deals for other FSP folks, and lots of other stuff. I can't wait to live among fellow freedom lovers. Yes, we have work to do but they are definitely ahead of the curve compared to other states. They are having a festival soon (it's on their message boards- the Porcupine Festival) and I hope to go to get a feel for the place.

No reason we couldn't take over Presidio and Brewster counties in SW Texas AND start an island nation. One could be the "refugee" location for the other if TPTB moved against one.

I hadn't thought about the international factor! That is exciting stuff to consider as well!

I'm right behind ya on this one... Live free or die

Mandy,

Very itneresting! Tell us more if you don't mind.

I am particularly interested to know if they are spread out all over NH or concentrated, and whether there are any discussions of working towards secession among their rank and file.

Secession isn't in the plan but from what I can see their rank and file see it as an option in a dire situation. That's how I feel, too. The goal is to do what Dr. Paul advocates, lead by example. Spread freedom by example. By working hard in NH, in a state that is set up legally to allow this, we can be the beacon of America. We can show the rest of the country you can be FREE AND SAFE. The 101 reasons link posted earlier and on their site www.freestateproject.org is fantastic. NH has the ONLY Constitution in the WORLD which guarantees the people the right to revolution. They also have truly put the power in the hands of the people there, their executive is weak in comparison. 400 delegates? That sort of representation doesn't exist elsewhere and you can run as several parties (fusion). The FSP folks really put a lot into choosing NH, I see just how much sense it makes after reading up on it. I have diligently researched their research since yesterday. I'm very impressed and can't wait to move.

All i can say is i know alot of vietnam draft dodgers, and ppl sick of there country moved up to british columbia in a city called nelson.Americans put that city on the map.Its full of old americans that wanted out of america, and draft dodgers that thought vietnam was a criminal war.I know its not in america, but that be the best place for alot of you to go.You would also probally be welcome with openarms.

I guess just like any other (i.e. Taiwan, etc.) live there, get rich, declare independence.

Great idea - has the Cayman Islands already been discussed? Or Avalon in Catalina is an Island off Long Beach I have thought of moving to.
