We NEED more FEMALE supporters (graph)

I wonder how much the figures are off based on couples: whose name is on the credit card, or when both are listed, whether only the first is used (?)

I am not buying that...I am a female supporter of Dr. Paul and I know more females than males that support Dr. Paul--just on the fact that he would be willing the bring the troops home and stop all this endless wars abroad. That is certainly appealing the the female voters in my area!

Mothers never want to send their sons off to war.

If we're going to win, we need the female vote just as much as the male vote.

check this out, i never knew the ratio of male to female supporters was SO disproportional

That was a 2008 graph.
Graph for 2012 is at : http://www.opensecrets.org/pres12/candidate.php?id=N00005906

Okay the 2012 graph is similar. However, it is still quite inaccurate.

They show a total of only 7053 donors in all.

This does not show contributors under $200 and therefore, is extremely inaccurate.

I do agree we need more female support and I think we are beginning to get it.

Overview
Percent of Funds Number of Contributors Total Amount
Female 16.4% 1077 $750,516
Male 83.6% 5976 $3,827,148

Contribution Details
$200-$499 $500-$999 $1000-$2500 $2500+ $5000+
# Donors Total # Donors Total # Donors Total # Donors Total # Donors Total
Female 578 $142,380 228 $134,102 176 $248,117 85 $227,571 5 $25,000

The demographic numbers on this Open Secrets thing are weird. Bachman donors are 76% male... You would expect there to be more women...

True, on facebook Bachman has more female supports then males. Same is true for Palin which suggest female supporters prefer female candidates.

Possible related activism: Buy as many Ron Paul family cookbooks as possible (there are bulk discounts). Look at a list of registered Republican, frequent voters that are female. Knock of there doors in the afternoon or on a weekend and bring official Ron Paul flyers with you. Hand the people that are home 1 Ron Paul flyer. Then try to hand them a cookbook. Go back to the houses where no one answered the door. Keep doing this until you hand out all of the cookbooks you bought.

Got this e-mail from Curt...SuperBrochure fellow:

The mailings to Iowa have been incredible. People are ringing my phone off the hook. It seems to be older (60 plus and mostly female) people calling to say that they were on the fence and are now voting for Ron Paul. They are so excited about learning who Ron Paul is, that they are getting brochures to hand out to their family and friends (with a few even getting a box of 900). We are calling this the neighbor effect.

Encouraging.

Yes,things ARE changing this year, but in all sincerity..in the election 2007 it was,if i remember well, something like an 81/19% ratio,so it does not sound too strange to me.
And the " I personally know .." dont' really tell us too much.
I personally know only a dozen Ron Paul activists in Los Angeles, every single one of them is male.

GOOD NEWS.
Iowa and N.H polls are telling us that things are gradually changing as far as voting goes.

Males generally follow and know politics a lot more than females, there have been a lot of stats published on the subject.
Ann Coulter as much as you may dislike her, published,in one of her books ("victim someting..) a series of true, provable facts that made her really hated by feminists:
Males know political issues a lot more, they also read a lot more books and articles on the subject,I mean..a really big percentage difference.
Also:
They know ,read and follow or even vaguely understand the subject of economics a big, whole lot more than females percentually speaking .
A big chunk of female voters tend to vote on one issue only or..sensations,personal likebility or emotions on the candidate.
