We MUST get this ad to the campaign. AWESOME.

I really, really like this ad. If the campaign were to take this framework and clean up the platitudes a little bit with specifics, it would absolutely dominate the TV commercials we've seen from the official campaign. Heck, this would even be a great viral ad, if the campaign sent out a link to the clip and asked people to spread around to friends and family.

Getting CCR to sell the rights to the song is definitely not worth the money. But, the ad is sharp. We've got to get the campaign to see this...

WHY DOESNT THE CAMPAIGN RUN ADDS LIKE THIS??? OMG!!!!! Beg them too run it!

I'm sorry this is not a campaign for a serious candidate as far as I see. I want to buy Ford Mustang or something watching this.:o

Don LaFontaine - movie preview guy

Again, for those who may have missed it, we need to get Don LaFontaine to do a voice over. He seems to be a laid back guy. I found a guy's blog who had Don record a message for his voice mail. If you don't know who Don LaFontaine is, he is the voice you always hear during movie previews...

"In a world..."
"This summer...."
"In a place where no one knew his name..."

etc.

this would totally be worth the money. There is a reason he is the most sought after voice for TV and movies. Not too mention his style fits the captions in the RP ad perfectly. It's an easy fit.

Awesome spot. It will catch the attention of the CCR generation that grew up to that song. Ignore it if you will but RP needs to catch the attention of 50+ year olds to succeed.

I emailed John Fogerty, who wrote the song in the remixed version. I'll let you guys know if he writes me back.

Personally, I kinda wish the ad was easier to read. You kinda have to turn your head and I think that's a big negative.

To the guys posting that it's hard to read, do you try running it fullscreen? Even so fullscreen might distort a little, but remember this will be geared for TV and most people have bigger TVs then monitors.

i like the fact that you have to pay attention to read the text, it makes the ad interesting - it makes people eagerly await the next run if they missed one part.
this is at least the way i respond to a funny/catching ad (i admit those are rare ;) ) i miss in part - and the music without any ad speaker + stylish graphics DEFINITELY make this a catchy ad :D

great ad. There are a lot of young people who are down with CCR, too. It really is a band that spans generations and will draw a lot of attention.

If you haven't listened to CCR, you're missing out!

Maybe Fogerty would donate the song use? How do we know he doesn't support RP?

This is going to have to be a chip-in... FEC laws (McCain Feingold blah). I would definitely chip in for this to run on TV nationwide.

Best ad I've seen yet. Makes you want to watch it. Fabulous!

I am constantly awed by the diverse talent AND the generosity of the supporters of this cause. Blows me away. I feel as if I am part of an actual 'community' in doing this campaigning for Dr. Paul.

:D
