We MUST get this ad to the campaign. AWESOME.

I think it is great and would steal a lot of votes from Hitlary and Obama.

Thats me. not some GOP meeting fools.

There are tons more of me willing to vote Ron paul if we just heard the message.

thumbsup and try to run it. going on my website!

It's not ridiculous. People don't read the TV.

Good Point, Maybe an attractive voice over really basic but not too much would be an easy addition.

Of course Ron Paul would need to say "Im Ron Paul and Im running for president And I approve this message or something like that,.

Isn't it violating some asinine law for Paul to accept an advertisement for free from a supporter? Campaign finance and all that?

That ad would be great for a national campaign, but I don't know about local stuff. Particularly in NH, people tend to dislike slick and glossy advertising for candidates.

I agree it probably needs some kind of voice-over, too. TV ads that have to be read work occasionally, but they're a rarity. You also might want a better pic of the Doc for the end, one of him smiling or something. His face is the sort that looks grumpy if he's not actively smiling, even if he's not really grumpy. Nobody wants a grumpy President.

I love this ad!

By the way, my unsolicited opinion on the voice-over... I'm not in marketing, but voice-over-less ads actually catch my attention. Especially if they just have a song, steady tone, or typing-noises. They stand out to me because they are not the usual ad.

And this would be great to increase Ron's name recognition!

No way!!

The NY Times ran that ad for MoveOn.org and gave them a 50% discount until all of the Republicans bitched.

So, this guy can sign a contract to sell the campaign the ad for....hmmmm....let's see....ONE DOLLAR!

Done.

I think this would go great in a movie theater. The color scheme and aspect ratio seem to favor a theater environment IMO.

I'd never thought of advertising at theaters. Anyone have any idea of how that works? More expensive or less expensive than TV? An ad like that may be great for theaters in NH, Iowa, SC for a few weeks, especially if a PAC set them up.

it looks like some kind of stupid music television comercial... egh... i hate it.

it would be a waste of money. it barely covers any ground...

just because something is flashy and well put together doesnt mean its good.

the music in it is good though.

Someone should see if any Rocky Lynn songs fit in there. I'm sure he would be willing to donate the rights to the music.

wow, great ad, I can't stop watching it. And it meets the 30 second window. Someone with some pull please attention this to the campaign, asap!

This would be an amazing Ad to play in Movie theatres (If possible).

I could imagine this would go over GREAT in college towns.

Remember, target your audience.

You can't explain RP's positions in a 30sec commercial! So why try? This is ad is great because it's slick, has a solid pic of RP, and may grab attention. This does NOT look like a political ad and IMO that is a GOOD thing!! RP is not your run-of-the-mill politician. I think what we should aim for in TV commercials is attention grabbers that get people to check Ron out for themselves. Only thing I would change is to take out one of the "planks" and keep Ron's name and URL on the screen longer and maybe with more emphasis. Maybe add a phone number for:

Ron Paul
www.ronpaul2008.com
1-800-RON-PAUL

(is that an actual phone number??)

just my 2 cents.

I've just emailed a theater chain here in the midwest for info an adbvertising just to get an idea. I will post it once I have it.
