We Got a SUPERBOWL AD?

i concur, this one is MADE for the superbowl and the target market who watches it. Patriotic, and small very POSITIVE soundbyte messages. even the color scheme and the music are spot on.
.

You know, the subject of good potential grassroots ads came up months ago, and this ad was mentioned--and I haven't seen anything mentioned since then. At the time there was speculation about its appeal to different age groups, so I had my 14 year old son watch it to get his opinion.

He said he was almost certain he had seen a very similar ad years ago....without the Ron Paul theme, of course. He said he thought even the music was the same. And when I thought about it, it did seem familiar.

Does this ring a bell with anyone else?

so do we have a superbowl commercial or not? is this just a pipedream or is there evidence that we do have a Superbowl ad?

ANYONE THAT WATCHED THE NFC PLAYOFFS ON FOX MUST HAVE SEEN - Fox is billing their SuperBowl pregame as a politics/football thing (flashing pictures of all but Ron on the screen as they promoed it).

just an fyi if not previously mentioned

this is the closet commercial i have seen with that music in a while i think

no that was the filming of the music video for Aimee (something)'s Ron Paul Revolution Theme Song. Video is still not finished but the song is out and it's billboard chart material.

Horrible lighting. I know they are in front of a projector, but having this whole idea of shadows and darkness on an ad violates every single ad rule I can think of.

Sorry, but I agree. The lighting is colossal advertising error. Great ad, don't me wrong, but not even close to wide mainstream appeal. Especially for the festive nature of the Superbowl.
"Fortunate Son" is the best so far for game, while his other ad is better for a national campaign ad.

This is the AD you're looking for, the 1984 emotional effect?

This is not a Rick Roll.
It would not cost a lot to get this made, but the impact it would have would outweigh anything else.

Imagine this, you're watching the super bowl and having a good time watching the commercials then this ad comes up and does a 360 degree opposite of what you expect an ad to do. We Don't need to give lectures! We need to get their attention and interest first!

any idea when video will be finished? i know, off topic

How about a 'grim' ad that becomes solution-oriented at the end?

Say, a pan across an Arlington-cemetery like line of funeral caskets, as somber patriotic music plays. A pullback shot shows thousands of them (CGIed?), and stops on Ron Paul.

Paul says, "This is what 4,000 coffins look like. That's how many of our troops have died in Iraq. Some people want us to be over there for a 100 years. If you want 100 more years of this (pause, music drops), vote for the other guys."

Voiceover: Support our troops---bring them home NOW. Ron Paul for President. Hope for America."

eh, too much fear mongerin

I don't know how many of the posters are involved in media, or the professional creation of it. But subliminal will always work better. Break the current frame of mind, laugh at it, then recreate it with your own ideas. I posted some video on a previous page. But this post and link to video is a MUST for everyone? http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=87806&highlight=manipulation
We need to understand the tools of manipulation to win. Many of us came to Ron Paul because we were directed to him by many means. But the mass population needs to have a developed interest created to get attention.

I doubt it. It would be a stupid move to advertise during the SuperBowl.

#1 ) Cost. Why pay millions to probably convince 2 people?
#2 ) People are stupid. They need more than a 30-second commercial.
#3 ) A lot of people skip commercials.
#4 ) This would go against his conservatism and would make him look like a big spender.

Uh, so... Don't believe what you read on the internet. If they had a SuperBowl ad it would probably be mentioned on their site.
Yes, people are known for skipping ads in the Super Bowl....what?!?! Do you ever watch the SUper Bowl? Half the people who watch it only watch it for the ads- if you can air something that is being broadcast to the largest television audience in the world, why wouldn't you? Ask GoDaddy!.com how many people watch SuperBowl ads.

It's too good an idea to actually happen, I'm afraid. Pretty much the whole country would talk about it, and we can't have that.
