We are barreling down the road to war with Iran. Why does nobody care all of the sudden?

I just heard on Lou Dobbs show (waiting for freedom watch) that one of our admirals is ready for a fight.

People are going to die.... Possibly tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands.

Thousands of them will be our Boys, Sons, Cousins, Brothers, Friends, Fathers.

Its possible that Russia and China may get involved. Multiplying the casualty's immensely. I sometimes wonder if they ratcheted up the pace given Ron's growing popularity with the anti-war crowd.

I lost one of my best friends in Afghanistan to an IED. I don't blame the guy who planted it one bit. I blame America's foreign policy for keeping him their.

My personal opinion: We need to drop the GOP after the next debate, if not after the convention. We need to run a 3rd party heavy Anti-War campaign.

I don't know that I can lose anyone else fighting pointless war's and stay calm about it.

I believe you would be correct in your assertion that they're increasing the pace due to Ron Paul's popularity.

My condolences for your friend. Coming from a military family, with my father being a veteran, and my cousin being an OIF Veteran. They've also seen their friends (also my friends) die due to political decisions and political wars. Our men and women aren't fighting for our freedoms, or honor. They're fighting for the men standing next to them, because we put them in a war-zone.

I also truly believe, that Ron Paul is intentionally trying to destroy the GOP's manipulation, corruption, and its entire ideology. You can see it more and more as each state passes by. I don't think we should run 3rd party, simply because Ron Paul is busting the GOP's tactics wide open, and exposing them along the way. The question now is, after they're exposed, what will they do?

I think we care, but we are powerless to do anything about it, so we're focusing on the election as a desperate attempt to prevent this. It's Ron Paul or the beginning stages of WWIII, IMO.

Sadly, we're already knee deep in the beginning stages.

I think most Paul supporters do care. We've sort of been sidetracked by the campaign, I think. We only talk about foreign policy on here if Ron brings it up during a debate. But, you're right. We're gearing up for another war, just like Iraq. Ron tries to address this whenever he can, but it's considered his "Achilles heel," so I think he is encouraged to keep it low key. But, I think you're 100 percent right. The main reason I support Ron is that he is anti-war (and you guys can get onto me for calling him that, but he is). I'm all about that. I'm sick of the wars and I'm sick of political parties.

Fuck the GOP. We're not going to win the nomination. We never had a chance. If not because they can apparently control the votes, then because Republicans are so out of touch with this humble pro-peace foreign policy. Democrats act like being anti-war is a big deal, but they are so concerned with getting healthcare bills passed and arguing about contraceptives.

What the fuck, America? We fucked up. Obamney (Either Obama or Romney) will most likely go to war with Iran. I say, fuck the GOP and continue to preach the message of a humble foreign policy. At this point, I think it is much more important than a Republican nomination we will never get anyways.

There, I said it. Go ahead and call me a whiner and a quitter, but it is what it is. I'd love to be wrong, but I think it is time to abandon this whole "Will this upset the fickle, ignorant GOP voters?!" mindset and continue to spread the message of a humble foreign policy and a sound economic policy (the two HUGE reasons I support Dr. Paul).

I know that "We" as in Ron Pauladins care. I mean, "We" as in Americans. The RP nation get's it. everyone else just seems happy to stand by and watch our boys die.

I wholeheartedly agree.

...because to most of them, it's just random boys dying. It's not somebody important...like Whitney Houston.

I care too, this is a very important issue to me, and maybe the very most important issue...

As for why the general public seems ok with it... remember the SC debate crowd? I think alot of people secretly love war, and are bloodthirsty. It excites people.... sadly. Or they are just numb.

Ron paul says 70% of people are tired of the wars... I wonder where they are

We have to destroy the USA to rebuild it. Sometimes its just easier to reformat your computer than to attempt to get rid of that virus or worm (if Malwarebyte or Spybot fails).

We need something serious to happen to bring people back to perspective in this country. Unfortunately, events like 9/11 brought out the worse in us. It brought us together to destroy our freedoms, liberty, and fearing terrorists.

Sorry but there are some bad mischaracterizations

The average Joe is not bloodthirsty, they are(or think) they trying to protect themselves.

Wherever you get these ideas from, you need to reexamine the sources

Well put.

I sometimes think back to that joke from "the pursuit of happiness" when Will Smiths son ask "Jesus, why didn't you save me"

So many people look to the Bible and ask god to save them. God looks back at earth.... And sent people like Ron Paul. And we historically mock, shame and ignore them until its too late.

I am with you guys. I am only in the GOP to vote RP in the primary and then I am done. I could care less about convincing anyone in the GOP of anything, they have been corrupt my entire adult life, since before Bush 1. They deserve what is coming, most of America does. The people who join the military also get what they deserve. My heart goes out to the innocent people half way across the world that have and will die by our hands. They are the ones that deserve the sympathy. Our troops joined by their own accord, last I heard there is no draft, anyone who joins the military in the past 20 years, knows full well what they are fighting for and it isn't our rights and freedoms.

Agreed. I find it much easier to tolerate liberals. I don't see how anybody could be so pro-war, against drug legalization, and in favor of regulating people's lives.

Liberals are mostly just misguided on economics, their hearts are in the right place. We just need to educate them that free markets are most beneficial for their end goals. Frankly, I find many Republicans to have incredibly sick and disturbing views that I don't think can easily be changed. I don't feel as strongly opposed to Democrats and think they are likely better prospects for liberty.

Yes this is spot on. Everyone can have health care when health care cost aren't sky high. Get the federal government and subsequent lobbyist out of heath care and competition will drive the cost down to manageable levels.

I've noticed a trend with Liberals. Many of them are far more open-minded regarding Ron Paul. Many of them like various steps that Ron Paul advocates. However, many of them do not understand the differences between Collectivism and Individual, his stance on Gay Marriage, and many think his desire to end the Fed and/or reinstate the gold standard is crazy.

The only time I have trouble arguing with a Liberal, is when they're a diehard progressive.

planning on leaving the GOP after this election myself. Unless Ron won, then I might hang around. Not sure where to go though. Thinking about the Constitution party but I am a little worried they might want a Theocracy. I don't want to be labeled a heretic because my flavor of Christianity doesn't line up with whomever is in charge.

Will more than likely go with the Libertarian party. Abortion might be the deciding factor but then again, with all of the people in government that have ran on a pro-life platform, you would think abortion would be illegal or at least heavily regulated.

Why do you need to go to a party at all?
I was always an Independent. Then I became a Republican in 07 so I could vote for Dr. Paul in the primary. I never bothered switching back. It's just a word - it has no meaning or power. I'll never vote Democrat (or so I believe) but if a Democrat came along that had the ideals (and the pedigree to back it up) that Dr. Paul does, then I would probably switch parties to vote for that person, but mostly, I think, I'm going to stay a Republican whether Dr. Paul wins or not because if he doesn't, his son is running in 4 years.
