"The racist portions of the newsletter were published when RP was not in Congress,"
This is obviously, then, not over a 20 year span. But rather a span of only a few years. He also seems to imply that there are "code words," and innuendo, and he only quotes the ONE NEWSLETTER from the FIRED staffer directly.
In other words, this is crap. The fraudulent story won't gain traction. We need to GOTV NH!

Tucker is a FRAUD for not sticking up for RP and allowing this bullshit to take place on his show.

Yeah, what the hell happened to checking out the story first, trying to verify it, then have the guest on? If this turns to out to be nothing more than this guys bias, and reading way too much into "code words," I'm going to bleed out of my eyes.

Thats not how media works anymore since every show's goal is to break stories before anyone else. That doesnt allow for much fact checking or show planning. I still stand behind Tucker. He didn't see this coming and I bet he was pissed. This isn't going to hold much water and will go the same route as the botnet junk and the white supremacist junk. Itll cause a minor stir but no real impact on anything. THIS IS THE WORST SMEAR THEY CAN COME UP WITH! That is the good part. We knew it was coming eventually. They can't hold Dr. Paul down!

The thing to note is Tucker's opening with the guy. It seems like Tucker was thinking this was going to be a rehash of the same old stuff... but this guy claims there is "new" material... then that idiotic stuff about speaking in code... You'll also notice Tucker's several pregnant pauses which would lead one to believe he was caught off guard. Just my $0.02.

It's actually good that Tucker got this before anyone else, he will have the prerogative to shoot it down first in a very official way.

the "codeword" accusation isn't new.
like when he uses "neocons" he really means jews or BS like that

Yea the dork shot himself in the foot with the secret code stuff.

Pisses me off. God I hope this doesn't get traction with the bs media today.

Btw, neoconfederate = racist?

The liberal extremist anti-wto crowd has accused mainstream republicans of being racist through codewords through at least decade.

It's sort of ironic that the neocons have adopted their rhetoric in this situation to discredit Paul.

No, you cannot stand behind Tucker. I have seen him argue with others over non issues! This is on purpose. He has some control on who goes on his show, I am sure. Or, he can ask for another opinion, rather than just have someone on who spews unvalidated stories. Tucker is not a friend. Easy when you are media biggies, eh? You can use your name to support the best man, Ron Paul, but you sell your soul to the highest bidder it would seem.

They have adopted so many of the other Democratic platforms, is it really a surprise that they would take this out of their playbook too?

I believe the same plays were used agaist Buchanan.

Funny huh,

Democrats were the original racists

I believe their (dems) welfare policies do more to keep blacks in the low income bracket than anything Republicans do. Now Neo-CONS support, or at least accept Welfare.

Oh my gosh that was hilarious, I could not stop laughing! I agree, that's the best they could come up with.

Also, think about the timing. They come out with this 'big announcement' the night before the primary and then say that they'll post the info at midnight.

They have nothing and they know it. It's just a smear. Better get used to it.

If you listen to the interview backwards, it says "Huckabee is dead". >.>

So. when none of this is on new republic tomorrow about 'gay homophobe' he can get his ass sued by ron paul?

Don't crap on Tucker. He looked as stunned as I was hearing this guy speak. And he certainly tried to maintain some journalistic integrity, but clarified that this guy has nothing until the article is published.

Yeah, I think Tucker was likely forced to have this guy on his show. I'm surprised Tucker is not better informed about these newsletters, though.

Did they say that they would have this stuff on The New Republic website by midnight? I can't find any info at all on Dr. Paul on their site, so either somebody misheard what Kirchick said or TNR might have a huge lawsuit on their hands.
