I believe that by the time this Wikileaks drama plays out, there will be an effort to regulate the Internet. Perhaps that is the hidden purpose of this whole weird phenomenom???
The "hidden purpose" of wikileaks is to prod the government in to regulating the internet? This would imply wikileaks is "controlled opposition", of which there is no evidence of, only wild theories that are counter-intuitive to the facts.
And the government already wants to regulate the internet, its already trying to do so.
It strikes me as odd that he was so easily released and will be living at the mansion of some billionaire.
"Rich guy huh, very suspicious, how could a rich man be a fan of wikileaks?"
Why is a rich man supporting Assange/wikileaks suspicious? You think a poor man is in any position to offer assistance to him?
The stunning media hype given to Assange also makes me suspicious. Let's wait and see how this all pans out before exhalting this guy as some freedom fighter, when he could very well be just the opposite.
There is nothing suspicious about it, people like you just keep conjuring up imaginary wraiths that are "suspicious"..
For example: "He hasn't been assassinated yet? HMMMM SUSPICIOUS..."
No, it isn't. Just because a series of events does not play out in a way that is intuitive to your worldview (this is the crux of all of the theories I've seen against wikileaks), does not make it suspicious.
Even if he is sincere, he could be being used as a patsy. The end game will tell the tale.
The facts will tell the tale, lets stick to them. So far they have given us much reason to think wikileaks is legit, that its existence genuinely scares the powers that be.
