Washoe County

Paul currently has 13% to McCain's 20% in Washoe with 4 of the 438 precincts reporting. That'll be some serious BS if those numbers don't change.

I was just at the Reed High precint, and the only way I can describe that is as TOTAL CHAOS. There were SO MANY PEOPLE THERE I couldnt believe it. There was a line that went outside the door and wrapped around MOST OF THE BUILDING. Id equate the level of peope just in the lines to get in the door at that of NFL playoffs.

The reason I think Washoe is taking so long is they expected a 10% turn out and Id say there was close to 15,000 people for the Reed districts only. I think it was flat out overwhemed with the turn out, and there is also a LOT of confusion there with no one knowing where to go or what to do or how a Caucus works, as this is Nevada's first... It was just far more people than was expected for voter turnout and overwhelmed the sparce staff they have there...
wow

As someone who attended (and won 2 out of 3 spots!!!; for more on my precinct experience, see thread http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=94333 ), I think that DamianTV's comments are spot on. Although we did not have near the number of people at our caucus place (maybe 400 Republicans), many did not know what to do, some pricincts had no temporary chairperson, which added confusion.

Hell, it took me about 5 read-throughs on the NV GOP site for me to understand the rules completely so imagine an 80 year old veteran with no clue. Remember, this is the first time in 20 years NV GOP has had a closed caucus rather than primary. Thus, this was the first time for most everyone, not just first-time voters.
