WASHINGTON state gop convention thread STARTING 5/30 (LIVESTREAM May31-June 2)

seems pretty even when listening to the ayes and nays. When they add the alternates which hopefully will be a lot of Paul people.

People aren't voting party lines. Lots of Romney people voted nay because they want to accept the rules and move on.

Kirby Wilbur remains the permanent Chair. Un-opposed.

Convention adjourned till saturday morning.

Kirby Wilbur has been a very fair chair. We did not have the numbers to replace him.

We just took the 3 delegates from CD 7. We are voting on alternates now, and we will win them.

Why didn't we get rid of this guy?

Wilbur isn't too bad. It was a decision the Ron Paul leadership decided. Let him have it without rancor. Its more of a 'i'll scratch your back if you scratch mine'. Hopefully we don't bleed too much...lets see what happens.

I used to think Kirby was a principled man, lets hope he proves my earlier impression right.

This is consistent with the first tweet in the OP, so far:

Bruce Morton ‏@BYUfan
According to #WAGOP chair Kirby Wilbur #RonPaul is ahead in CD 3, 6, and 7 #MittRomney is ahead in CD 1, 4, 5, and 8. The others are tossups

Unfortunately with 6 and 9 it sounds like Romney got two of the toss ups.

However, seating alternates can change it.
