WASHINGTON state gop convention thread STARTING 5/30 (LIVESTREAM May31-June 2)

So at-large delegates are being voted on tomorrow(which we are going to lose)? Is it just CDs today? Does that mean we actually did much worse than the AP gave us credit for? :(

Based on the accuracy of Mike Baker's AP Tweets with only 5 delegates tonight, you can scratch Washington as one of the five States needed to Nominate Ron at the GOP Convention in Tampa.

We are really going to have to have Missouri and Louisiana this weekend. This is must win time!!!

Jim_Brunner Latest delegate count from #wagop convtn: Romney 21, Paul 5, Santo 1 (that delegate part of a Paul-Santo slate) WA-10 not done #waelex

Gotta admire the Romney folks who didn't just stay at home thinking Paul dropped out. Whether there was a GOTV effort or not on the part of the Romney campaign, the fact of the matter is that they showed up and we didn't.

EDIT:
RalphHornsby RT @BryanMyrick: Word on #WA10 now in. 2 for Romney, 1 for Paul. That makes today's delegate count 23 Romney, 6 Paul, 1 Santorum. #WAGOP

I'm sure the national campaign was heavily involved here.

The national campaign is the biggest liability for us now. Call me bitter, but if that asshole Benton had kept his mouth shut back couple of weeks ago, we would be winning A LOT now. Benton effectively killed the momentum we had. Noticed how we never won shit after ME and NV? We peaked in ME/NV and then Benton dropped the bomb, as if on purpose. It was all downhill since.

Now watch as Benton and Co. tries to co-opt and coerce all national delegates we do have, to make them "behave" at the convention. Each delegate will have a delegate coordinator from the campaign and I bet the coordinator will be brainwashing the delegates to bend over at the RNC for Romney.

Not only do they not want to win, I feel like they WANT to lose.

We did well in Minnesota and a few other states the other weekend. It is threads like these that kill momentum.

AMEN!

Lib3rtarian you hit the nail on the head with your post. The Infamous Campaign Press Release definitely had an impact on the dismal showing in Washington tonight. Actually shockingly bad!!!

It is obvious now that the Press Release of May 14th by our Great Campaign Strategists actually boomeranged on the RP Nation.
Ron Paul delegates were obviously demoralized and it is reported that the turnout among RP Supporters at the Convention was not what was hoped or expected.

Add to that, that the Santorum and Gingrich delegates moved to support Romney in huge numbers likely believing that Mitt was the only Active Candidate left to support. Add voila you have Ron Paul getting only 1/3rd of the delegates that were expected tonight.

As I have said the Press Release of May 14th will go down as one of the stupidest and dumbheaded moves made by the Campaign.

Scratch Washington off of one of the five States that can Nominate Ron for President at the GOP Nomination in August.

Pray we get Louisiana and Missouri tomorrow. We must win them both to keep our chances alive!!! This is MUST WIN TIME!!!

Still funy how many believed until a few days ago that Ron Paul can actually win in Tampa. Well, funny is not the right expression due to the seriousness of the situation the United States are in.

The campaign does not want to win. They were handing out fake slates at my convention against me.

I was referring to Romney's national campaign, not Paul's. It's pretty obvious how the grassroots are doing everything for RP.

I knew no good would come out of the media reporting that we had already won Washington state, I just knew it.
Bad luck to an extreme.

Fuckin' A.

TACOMA, Wash. (AP) – Mitt Romney has won more than half of Washington state's delegates so far, winning 24 Friday compared to five secured by U.S. Rep. Ron Paul.
Washington will send 43 delegates to the national convention in Tampa, Fla. In August. http://www.usatoday.com/news/politi...t-romney-washington-gop-convention/55337780/1

So that's it, huh?

USA Today sure jumped on this story, but I don't recall them ever reporting a Ron Paul win.
