War on Terror was never a real war to begin with...it was an excuse to sacrifice our liberties, and dollars to enslave us. I see this as a symbolic statement that needed to be done to send a message to all parts of government that we will not continue a war where everyone is potentially an enemy. My only hope is that this helps people come forward to reveal information, corruption, and scandal.

A stray low level attack (bus bombing, kidnapping), maybe that would be genuine. But the 9-11 kind of complicated, precision timing operation (think George Clooney/Ocean's 11), NO.

Why? Are Muslims too stupid to pull something like that off?

Until I went and read the EO about closing Gitmo.

There are enough loopholes in this thing to drive a truck through, and it certainly doesn't affect other people held in other "facilities".

Examples:

after softening (I don't want to say dismantling) Bush's "terror
fighting tools" there won't be a new 9/11 scale attack on US
to drill into the skulls of the sheep that we can't live without

You do need an Ocean's 11 level operation and preparation to have gotten a top secret clearance to train the hijackers at secure US bases as to how to fly commerical planes. You need it to time the operation during the exact hours NORAD was doing a training exercise that would delay its ability to scramble jets. You need it to inform numerous officials and celebrities not to fly that morning. You need it in order for the White House staff to already be on cipro weeks before the anthrax attacks started, and to already have troops massed for an attack on Afghanistan, etc. That kind of thing.

Lets end all wars...but at the same time, offer a 'progressive enforcement of preceding U.S. laws and enhancement of global aid and outreach programs.' lol. Complete b/s. Bush at least did stuff right out in front of us. Obama, on the other hand, is more tactical in his erosion of liberty. I've flown close to 50 times, I've never been on the plane with a celebrity, that's really not that shocking. I don't believe jets were ever supposed to shoot down civilian aircraft in the US in the event of a hijacking. As far as Afghanistan, I had a bunch of friends called up the day after 9/11.

And why did we want to attack Afghanistan again? Why would we waste our money attacking mountain people if not for terrorism?
