Only mystery left to solve is why uwdude posts here.

Lastly, I applaud him for getting himself some education with his pharmacy tech education. But again, if you want to get the license, then go out and cut lawns or clean houses or something to make that money.
There is no reason 23 year olds should have to slave away their youth, 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, to get a living wage. Your rant is so damn zany, and yet on these forums, it is just part and parcel of the libertarian utopia you damn fools keep trying to sell that nobody buys. If slaving youth away is your idea of a great system, then fuck that system. There is something wrong with it.
There is an enormous layer of bureaucracies, middlemen, and entitlements being swallowed up by the older, more powerful generations, and they have the gall to actually call the young lazy and stupid.
I don't think what CaptLou is describing would actually be necessary in a "libertarian utopia." He probably knows it too.
There is a fundamental truth to life, and that is those who work hard, work smart and work long hours will be successful.
He has a cushy union job, so he has lots of free time to troll the internet.

The Dude is just ranting, like usual. It's not his fault, there is something in the water in Seattle's University district. I don't think the Captain would describe himself as a libertarian. But I'll let him speak for himself on that.
You would think so, yet he is saying that is the way it should be. Under what system? Under what wonderful economic system should people be slaving their youth away? Are you all hoping once Ron Paul is president, teh youth will have to work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week? Is that your idea of great leadership, and a great, working economy?
It's just plain stupid.
But I don't think he's saying that it should be that way. .
He specifically said that is the way it should be.
And the saddest thing about this whole thing is there is really only one solution that will be implemented: The Socialist Solution where by everyone else gets to afford this guys expenses.
Tell that to the millions of slaves who died penniless. Tell that to the billions of sweat shop workers that died in a tin shack and penniless, even though they worked their whole lives. There is no fundamental truth to your nonsense.
The real fundamental truth is sometimes old people hate the young because they are jealous.
Look at yourselves!
"why don't people love our message of freedom? All we are saying is freedom is slavery, that in our free market paradise people would just simply have to work 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, in their youth, to get a humble abode and a used car! Isn't that wonderful? Why don't people like us?"
And what is even sillier, is this has nothing to do with free market economics, and everything to do with many of you miserable people showing your miserable, spiteful hatred of your fellow man.
My job is full time, and not union.
Obviously YOU do not have a full time job, union or otherwise, because you are here 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, slaving your pathetic life away to typing out your hatreds.
Second point, is that if he wants to afford a car and an apartment, why then is he not working elsewhere to make the money? Yes, jobs are scarce, but they still do exist. There are over 100 hours per week where he could be working, the article infers that his fast food job is his only job. So, then if he wants these things he desires, then he should be out there every day doing something to earn them.
Ahhhh, college boy libertarians. The bane of my existence. Let me guess, you got into Ron Paul because he was anti war and pro pot but never actually registered GOP to vote for him, right? Just did some sign waving? The truth is that CaptLou's fundamental truth IS correct (apart from those so oppressed by governments that they were not able to rise above it. That does not exist here). The harder you work in this world, the more successful you will be. Your vitriolic ranting against that point is comical and shows you really have some growing up to do.
Here's one that suites him and would at least give him a raise in wages, and if he worked hard *snort* he could make $16.00 per hr.

Well, I actually am a freshman in college, so sue me
Oh, and I'm not in the GOP. I prefer not to be associated with wickedness
Why would they expect any hard workers for that job?![]()
