I'm afraid you are mistaken about that Swordsmyth.
If you are a US citizen, you are either a
natural born citizen, or an immigrant that requires
naturalization.
A "natural born citizen" is one who is a US citizen
AT BIRTH and therefore does not have to go thru
naturalization to become a citizen (as legal immigrants do).
You can be a US citizen at birth if:
- You were born on US soil and subject to US jurisdiction.
- You were born abroad and at the time of your birth at least one of your parents was a US citizen.
To be a natural born citizen,
if you were born on US soil, there is NO REQUIREMENT that your parents be US citizens at the time of your birth.
