Vivek Ramaswamy’s 2024 POTUS campaign

If "they hate him so much", how come they don't knock the first place down toward the bottom like they consistently did with Ron Paul?

Nobody has to answer that. I was just pointing something out that I remember like it was yesterday.

Mixed responses in that thread.

How about, government has no business either way, or at all, and should cut all funding and let the individual colleges decide who it wants to admit. Then the free market takes over, people either pay out of pocket for education, or are awarded scholarship money from local communities and/or company sponsorship.

I still don’t trust him. Based on his biotech background which is still a bad taste in my mouth, he flip flopped his views only recently, trying to find his own center and what appeals to libertarians.

He actually should write a book. Based on the Dave Smith interview he sounds like a good philosopher, but he would get his ass handed to him if ever held office. Plus the fact that Ron didn’t seem too keen on him either and gave Swamy some things to really think about.

To fight the fentanyl crisis, Ramaswamy said he would consider a “military assault” of Mexican drug cartels using airstrikes, drone attacks and special forces operations.

That alone is alarming. Another impulsive war hawk? Wet behind the ears, trying to garner votes?

Thanks but a great big no thanks. Ron is Right. We need a candidate to reach across the isle. Somebody the Democrats will actually pay attention to. RFK seems to be doing that, at least to some degree.

There's no good candidates who have a chance. VR doesn't even have a chance and he's also got some very troubling views like what PAF just described above.

Trying to search for a Ron Paul type among these people is a lost cause, you'd just be using your imagination. On some level I'd probably say VR is preferable to the others but he's no hero.

At least the LP offers something, well, a little libertarian. At this point might as well just vote for Trump in the primary to kick the can down the road and hope for someone better next time as he will be term-limited and very old. I'd rather not see incumbent RDS or whoever else. DeSantis just reeks of trojan horse through and through. Although I can't blame people for supporting Vivek over the rest that's out there.

JoeBiden needs to man up to his bully-friend Zelensky & clearly state that we are dead-set opposed to Ukrainian admission to NATO. This should be a hard red line. It’s shameful that even Republicans like LindseyGrahamSC are now pushing for it. Stop marching us to the brink of nuclear war. For all the hand-wringing about the 1994 Budapest Memorandum (on which the U.S. has more than fulfilled its commitments), the neocon-Democrat establishment is shockingly silent on James Baker’s famous 1990 “Not-One-Inch” commitment to Gorbachev that NATO would never extend east of Germany. NATO was created to deter conflict with the USSR, yet NATO has expanded most rapidly *after* the fall of the USSR & is now *worsening* the risk of nuclear war with Russia itself. This is sheer lunacy. As President I’ll refuse to be bullied by an anti-democratic comedian-turned-leader & it’s truly mystifying to me that the rest of the West is eating out of this Pied Piper’s hand every day.

Forbes article:

On the first day of trading the stock almost doubled, giving Axovant a market capitalization of nearly $3 billion. Considering that Ramaswamy had persuaded Glaxo to part with the unproven remedy for a mere $5 million up front, the newlyweds were ecstatic, as was a veritable wedding party of hedge fund pals who had followed Ramaswamy into the stock.

But this creeping fear ignores the full scope of what Ramaswamy is up to: rescuing the pharmaceutical industry’s forgotten drugs. Whether or not the Axovant drug works, the IPO, according to Ramaswamy, is just “a first step on a broader mission” to liberate abandoned or deprioritized drugs that routinely languish in the pipelines of pharma companies, never reaching patients or enriching investors.

Leaning on his Wall Street background and armed with a $400 million war chest, Ramaswamy is building a portfolio not of stocks but of has-been drugs that he grabs for “pennies on the dollar,” free-riding on the billions in research that pharma sometimes sinks into failed trials. Using a pharmaceutical holding company he formed last year, Roivant Sciences, Ramaswamy hopes to spin out dozens of companies, much as he did with Axovant. “This will be the highest return on investment endeavor ever taken up in the pharmaceutical industry,” he boasts. “It will be a pipeline every bit as deep and diverse as the most promising pharma company in the world but with a capital efficiency that is unprecedented.”

A whirlwind of such deals has made Ramaswamy, a member of the FORBES 30 Under 30 list, biopharma’s youngest chief executive. He may soon be its youngest billionaire. FORBES estimates that Roivant is worth $3.5 billion, making its Millennial founder’s 20% or so stake worth some $700 million. Ramaswamy, who just turned 30, has bigger aspirations. Roivant, he says, will become the “Berkshire Hathaway of drug development.”

I take it that profit over natural immunity, and safe and effective was never part of Swamy’s portfolio. I know it is not the Politically Correct thing to ask, but what would have been his opinion on Trump’s “Operation Warp Speed”, considering the fact that Ramaswamy oversaw the FDA approval of five medications?

It's always interesting to see where the hit pieces are coming from. And as pointed out below, they refer back to left leaning sources. Red State itself is a teocon/neocon source.

And no worries, Swordsmyth is on the case from the Trump camp, and already posted the hit piece from American Thinker.

Yep. And the American Thinker article has some interesting comments, mostly focusing on the author and not the content:

Vivek certainly has some interesting enemies...

And that is an interesting source too. A pharma industry publication and lobby outlet, which from what I can see, stays focused on pharma issues, deviated from it's normal content and published a political hit piece. Why would a Pharma Industry outlet go out of it's way to attack a single political candidate?

And why don't they attack RFK Jr?

Attack? Or simply disappear:

already over 100k views just a few hours old
