Thankfully , I dont pay anywhere near 8 percent even though I do have a lot of property tax . Now that I'm retired I dont pay much state income tax and get most of what I pay back , Dont see how anyone could do well paying double digit state and local taxes if they are young , raising a family.

Tenn looks off w/ 10 percent sales tax also 1/2 states tax food and 1/2 dont, some tax precious metals and coins and some dont. Mine , none of it
