Fox is going to hammer Paul on Iran because that is his weakness to FOX viewers. I hope Ron has really revised and thought about how he is going to reach "soft" neo-cons and not get painted as weak. They are going to show that Ron essentially would do nothing if Iran got a nuke.
If I were FOX, I would ask the question: If you have actionable intelligence that Iran has or is about to have a nuke, as President what would you do?
Quite Frankly, Ron doesn't have a good answer for this...even for me as an anti-war supporter. His answers are not good enough.
His position is that he would let Iran have a nuke, right? Ron is going to make the case they aren't on the verge of getting a nuke, they can't even make their own gasoline, etc....But why are Iranian Scientists getting killed??
He needs to come up with a middle ground to satisfy FOX viewers...he could say, if intelligence comes up in that is credible that Iran has a nuke and would use, I would go to Congress to get authority to strike those sites, they would be gone. That would shut up FOX for a while.
