There's two parts to every bit of communication: what you say, and how you say it. This is what was being pointed out by many in this thread. All of the facts referenced by Dr. Paul here SPOT ON - this was an act of terror, all terrorism is evil even against our "enemies", reasons why Iran would never do what she implied they'd do in relation to the Straits, and then the quoted stats regarding electability.

It was merely the delivery that most were questioning. We all love Doug Wead's interviews - he employs the techniques that were being suggested: frame response in light of question (or redirect the line of questioning), then show the absurdity question's premise with fact.

Dude. You ain't gonna change Ron Paul's delivery. It is not contrived and stems from his intellectual processes. All this prescribing of artifice and facade to make a bunch of whiners who want a big fist stomp statement every interview is useless. Fer frikkin' assed sakes he said they could be annihilated in 40 minutes. I think what yer seeking is a silverback who can jump on a log and beat its chest, bare its teeth and growl so ya' all can feel safe from the shadows of the jungle. If so there are a bunch of assorted silverback wannabes cruising with other campaigns. Maybe you can get your yah yahs there.

I would deem it to be over their Central Bank. That is the real target. The USG basically admitted this today.

That's the real issue. It isn't the oil...it's about protecting the dollar as the world's reserve currency. That's what has allowed us to run up such a debt without any real consequence so far. That's about to change no matter what we do and we can't keep doing this....starting wars to protect our economic hegemony.

The war in Iraq and the overthrow of Gadaffi have the same root cause.

The solution, of course, is to live within our means, have sound money and stop interfering in the ME. What RP is attempting to change is a very dark chapter in our history. There's more riding on this than most want to admit.

And no, I'm not wearing a tin foil hat. This is all well documented.
