Video update: Rand Paul on Hannity Fox News show 1/26/12

Hannity assumes that Rand is different, not as 'kooky', and thinks it's okay to cheapshot his dad in front of him. Rand just takes it sometimes and it pisses me of to hear this slimy weasel insult RP without any response from his own son.

Yep. Rand's decision to participate in the sliming of his own father means I will never, ever support him in the future.

With your constant bashing of Ron for just about anything he does, you can hardly comment.

I criticize Ron for the way that he frames the issues, but not his actual positions. Most people realize that he's not running a good campaign when he's a distant third or fourth in all the polls.

Rand never once participated in "sliming down his own father." That's a blatant lie on your part.

He could be running a flawless campaign and the media would be bashing him if not ignoring him 24/7 and he would still be third or fourth in the polls.

You're in for a big surprise in 2016 dude.

RON Paul has also suggested something like this.

Link? If Ron does support that, then that's a mistake. We have to fight this together. A two tiered program where you can get through the airport easier if you surrender your privacy and answer additional questions isn't the solution. This is.

Sorry, in my view, you do not allow some hack like PrettyBoy to say awful shit about your own father without voraciously defending your dad.

EVEN if you disagree with your dad, you do NOT allow that kind of thing to be done in your presense in public.

Period.

Then why does he keep volunteering to go back through the things?

To point out the unreasonableness of the TSA for not letting people go back through the scanner instead of being patted down?

If Ron was high up in the polls, the media couldn't ignore him, even if they wanted to. Ron has had the chance to make his case to voters in the 20+ debates, and he hasn't succeeded.

Um, maybe because it was the only alternative to the pat down which he clearly didn't want to do?

But if he can be stubborn enough about the pat-down to miss his flight, don't you think he would do the same about the scanners if he truly thought they would endanger his health?

+rep! Newt gained points for coming out swinging against ABC. Rand could do the same against Hannity.

Seen the post debate coverage? Having a chance to make your point by receiving 1/16th of the speaking time isn't really much of a chance.

1) Rand doesn't disagree with Ron on much. They probably agree on 98% of the issues.
2) What "aweful sh*t" was said about Ron? I remember that Hannity made some criticism of him, but I don't recall him saying anything that I would call "aweful."

Obviously, he doesn't mind the scanners as much as the pat downs. But that doesn't mean that he supports using the scanners on other people. I've never heard him say that he supports the scanners or doesn't want to abolish the TSA.

And he can't gain in the polls when the media ignores him. Funny how that works.

Debates do not cause surges. The post debate spin does. When Ron is mentioned ONCE in the entire post-debate show, it's gonna be pretty damn hard to gain in the polls.

There's been plenty of debates where Ron got plenty of opportunity to talk. I agree that the media has been biased against Ron, but you can't blame everything on the media. The fact is that Rand has a much better chance to become President someday than Ron ever did, because he knows how to speak to the Republican base. But because of that, a good number of people here can't stand him.

I don't know. I think if he truly believed there was a health risk involved in the scanners, he would have an ethical duty as a physician to not encourage their use. And whatever his shortcomings as a politician, I'm sure he takes his responsibilities as a doctor seriously.

People, even smart people, can have gaps in their knowledge that may surprise you. The dangers of these machines are never discussed outside of a few talk shows and Internet sites.
