Regardless, he did NOT secure the nomination and he will NOT be on the ballot.

If Ron Paul does not secure the Republican Party nomination, HE will not be on the ballot.

Gary Johnson WILL be on the ballot (bearing in mind that Ron Paul could EASILY have secured the Libertarian Party nomination but elected to remain in the Republican fold).

Just like Johnson, Ron Paul will get votes in all 50 States of the Union. I would be willing to bet that Ron Paul will get more write-in votes than Gary Johnson can get by being on the ballot. Time will tell. Gary should have endorsed Ron Paul and ran for Senate in New Mexico if he truly believes in freedom.

Shoulda, woulda, coulda . . . it is WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE. He is NOT in a Senate race. He DOES have the Libertarian Party nomination. (No one expects him to win. It is INSANITY not to agitate to get him in the debates.)

You are a THEORIST. I get it, how things could be swell if only everyone would do this, that and the other. But they WON'T.

Here is the thing Cheapseats. I don't care. I have voted since the 60's and every single time the media has announced the winner before my vote was even counted. My vote has never counted. So I am doing the responsible thing this year and voting my conscience. I'm writing in RON PAUL in BIG LETTERS with a BLACK MAGIC MARKER. I don't care. Gary Johnson will not free us. Obomba will not free us. Mittens will not free us. Only Ron Paul knows that Separation of Money and State will free us. He is the only one to vote for... even if it doesn't count.

Considering the difficulty Americans are having pinning down TRADITIONAL Democrats and TRADITIONAL Republicans, I'm thinking "Traditional Libertarian" borders on OXYMORON.

One could argue that "unsustainable debt" and "economic deathwish" exist as problems with or without a fed. The problem related to both those terms is spending more than you take in.

No doubt. If the Libertarian party would have nominated Lee Wrights, I would be all over it. But instead, the Libertarian Party picked a failed Republican to represent them. Sad. Very Sad.

If the LP nominated Lee Wrights I'd wish them well on their trip back to the sidelines of American politics and never send them another dime again. By nominating Gary Johnson, who has a successful resume albeit slightly more moderate views than the Randroid ancap extremists who have traditionally done a horrible job of nominating LP joke candidates, the LP is at least admitting that their a political party rather than some abstract, disingenuous educational effort.
