He later on goes to say we have a limited government and we don't need government to tell us how to order our lives by naming of a list of things that government is doing to order our lives..

Anyways, I thought that sound bite in the title was pretty rotten in the context he gave it.

The other anti-Romney candidates are killing their own campaigns for us. Attacking free markets? Promoting big government ideas? Ron is looking good, safe, clean and sane to the anti-Romney voters right about now.

Santorum is a constitutional conservative? Rick Santorum believes that "Government needs to be big if people don't order their lives correctly" - Rick Santorum, S.C. Constitution Day 2011.

So, tell me, who gets to decide if my life is "ordered correctly"? If you are a constitutional conservative, you don't reinterpret the constitution to suit your views on how people should order their lives. And you certainly don't try to amend it with moral laws that will later damage the integrity of the core principles of the document.
Rick Santorum does not believe that all people are created equally, either.

Whoever thinks that Rick Santorum is a constitutional conservative, has lost the definition of conservative, OR believe as Rick Santorum, that the constituion is supposed to be some kind of moral guide for people, rather than a ball and chain for government.

Between this and his rant against the tea party.. rp campaign could destroy him. I hope they do.

That "Great Society" that Ricky is applauding, came from LBJ.

The Great Society was a set of domestic programs in the United States promoted by President Lyndon B. Johnson and fellow Democrats in Congress in the 1960s. Two main goals of the Great Society social reforms were the elimination of poverty and racial injustice. New major spending programs that addressed education, medical care, urban problems, and transportation were launched during this period. The Great Society in scope and sweep resembled the New Deal domestic agenda of Franklin D. Roosevelt, but differed sharply in types of programs enacted.

We need to composite all of the times Santorum shoots himself in the foot into a single video.

Santorum shilling for big government.

Santorum saying he will stand up against the tea party.

Santorum saying Iran doesn't want a nuke to bomb Israel but for their own protection...

Then Santorum goes on to threat to attack Iran.

Santorum pushing for an individual mandate.

I don't think all evangelicals necessarily support small government, I think many of them have no problem with big government as long as it is a Republican in charge of it who loudly proclaims his Christian faith and Christian values. I think the problem evangelicals have with Romney is simply his Mormon faith and past leftist social views on gay marriage and abortion. Huckabee had a big government record but the evangelicals still voted for him in massive numbers.

WOW - plz tell me who defines correct lives??? Santorum you are a piece of work!!!!!!!!

So we got rid of the priviledged class to be ruled by ordinary people???(roughly 3:30 mark) And then they become petty tyrants like Mr.Santorum. So the purpose in his opinion was to give over the job of ruling to a common man minority who will dictate what is to be done?

His speeches are poorly spoken and circuitous.

This statement is borderline creepy and really gives you a look inside the mind of a gigantic bigot hiding behind the cloak of religion.

These are the kind of sound bites that should go in ads against santorum. I didn't like the ad the campaign did against him because they did not use his own words. His words are damaging.

I watched that video and it sounds like his flip-flop switch got stuck halfway and he kept contradicting himself ever other sentence.
