in case he or some of his people are reading this, here's an opinion: don't emphasize that you are negotiating. You offered one thing, then a little less, than almost nothing - all without any response - it's not negotiating. It's just plain weakness or stupidity. Who are you negotiating with? Don't appear too eager to settle.

Your strongest point is that the Congress is doing its job. That's it. There's no requirements, no desire, and despite what the red press is saying, no need for negotiating.

Also don't be afraid to expose the absurdity of the interviewer arguments: it's the law, you lost the election, etc... which to some degree you already do, these are your strong points.

Don't push the conference - I don't like negotiating behind close doors. American people always come out as losers after that.

Finally, the non-essential people who are not working now because of the shutdown, shouldn't be paid for this time. We want to save some money.

Just one person opinion.

Good job, Casey. Let's screw over our resident uploader with 5k subscribers and give RPF's views to a relative nobody. Should go viral!

Rand sure is sticking to his talking points like white on rice. To my eyes and ears the guest host was acting like the cat who ate the canary and got away with it. She sure was repeating "oh it's the republican's fault the gov't is shutdown". Rand did a good job of injecting sense into the whole thing.

What was interesting for me, instead of saying to the interviewer, "Your questions are stupid, your smile is fake, and you are ugly," he elevated every question by trying to find a reasonable interpretation and answered seriously.
