[Video] Rand Paul on ABC's This Week roundtable debating Paul Krugman and others

I think it's ok. I'd rather watch this type of back-and-forth than an interview.

Cory Booker really just said that we can't put too much faith in the unemployment numbers, because he dropped out of the work force when he was 18 to go to college, implying that there are lots of reasons that people leave the workforce. Maybe those people don't actually want to work.

Yeah, ok. If Rand Paul had said that, it would be headlines.

Mostly bullshit. All talk about political strategy, no deep talk about economics or real political philosophy. Just reality t.v.

I think the american people would change channels if you had that type of discussion. Gotta get what you can out there when you can.

It still quite a shock to me that a sitting US Senator would write a book called "government bullies".

Meh, I've been watching, he hasn't really promoted him that much. He actually called out Romney / Ryan on their military keynesianism.
:D Just like many have said, his endorsement gives him a safe haven for calling them out on nat'l television.

He did a nice job... Smacked down military Keynesianism, and again plugged libertarians as the key to growing the republican party and winning races...

I saw that more as only agreeing with Krugman because wasnt he the one who brought it up?

Yeah he did bring it up, but in kind of a snarky, republicans are hypocritical and shouldn't complain sort of way, IMO. Rand shot back, that no, it's still wrong in that case too.

Time to infiltrate the democratic party?

Rand too silent, imo. Letting others steer and monopolize the conversation.

Didn't engage in the abortion debate.

Talking now how the Democrats are the hawks.

"Not a dime's worth of difference between obama and romney on Afghanistan going forward" - George Wills

Rand saying he wants to stop all aid to Pakistan until they release the guy who helped us get Bin Laden.

Showing state-specific ads Romney running in the swing states.

Rand saying immigration should focus on the issue of jobs and not beinging them into the country to be on welfare.

Rand saying we need libertarian republicans in democratic areas of the country, that we have given up on those electoral votes across the country.

I have a real problem with that (in bold).
