really could have done without the line, "is this where we light up the phones?"

he still comes across as kind of smart-alecky college kid trying to be statesman-like. too many 'knowing' smiles to someone on the front row like, "yeah, I know this is borderline bullshit, but I gotta do it"

I would like to see him with about 35%-40% less dramatic speaker, and 35%-40% more real, natural Rand.

He was probably pretty nervous, though - 1st time he's ever announced for Prez after all

The rhetoric is working, I know a neocon (who previously only mentioned isolationist when Rand was brought up) that liked the speech, they're coming around but you have to speak their language.

I think it's going to end up another Bush v. Clinton. I want Rand to win it though.

Why is he picking on Iran so much?

Playing to the mainstream GOP primary voters. I don't like it either. But I don't think Rand would ever go to war with Iran.

I had a direct line of sight to Ron the entire speech. Anything that made me cringe I looked to see his reaction. Anything that sounded like Ron, I looked over. He was stone.cold the entire speech. He did not give any smiles or grumbling looks.

Can someone elaborate on the economic freedom zones. I didn't really like the sound of it considering it would be picking winners and losers. If he makes the zone the entire US then i am approve.
