Maddow covers the Maine vote debacle for the second night in a row. She asks why this is now happening in Maine after the similar vote count debacle in Iowa, calls the situation a "disaster", says Romney is not the winner in Maine - no one is yet, and that "we're left to wonder whether this was rigged". She also interviews a columnists from the Portland Press Herald.

So now the narrative is that the problems were caused by Ron Paul supporters, and, if Ron Paul wins the state as a result of Washington, he would not have if it was not for this controversy.

What tosh.

They'll count the votes after Mar 10th...as she said "after Super Tuesday"

I think they will be forced to do it a little earlier than that. We'll have the unofficial numbers that should get some press attention and people hate getting 1000's of emails a day.

oops, there are actually 2 parts to the segment, I just added the much longer first part to the OP, watching it now

at this point I'm suspecting they will 'find' extra Romney votes somehow. the answer is to MAKE SURE YOUR CAUCUS moves to count its vote publicly and write it down or tweet it as evidence of what it was.

This was a solid report! She's a pro.

Is that guy right that Ron did badly in Washington county in '08? I thought it was the opposite!

Good piece and she said she's going to revisit the subject again tomorrow. This is making Romney and the GOP establishment look really bad.

Am willing to forgive Rachel for what she's done in the past. This is solid journalism. I believe this is the third time she's talked about Maine, no? Two previous times with Doug Wead. Tomorrow will be the fourth then? Way to go Rachel.

wow. multiple parts of that are mind blowing.

Rachel Maddow just used the word 'rigged' in relation to a specific State caucus. Sure, she only said 'we're left to wonder'... but that's still massive.

We have not heard the end of this.

Once again, Ron Paul always wins.

I expect to see thousands of votes for Ron Paul on saturday....from brand new voters + santorum/gingrich voters who want Romney to go to hell.

At which point I think they would have to honor the votes....I really can't see them saying "well it's too late, despite Paul winning by a thousand votes"

We can really win Maine.

They'll say: "It doesn't really count. He only won because his supporters were so mad that he lost."

i think Ben Swan and Maddow just solved that for us. The GOP has egg all over its face.

Chalk up one more unforced error on the part of the Establishment.

The universe is clearly on our side.

Time to move to whiz bang computerized electronic voting, so no one can cheat!
