I feel exactly the same way. And I know that most you also feel this way...right...everybody? If he can rack up just a few more points for liberty - I'm in.
Go Romney/Ryan!!
I have no idea if the rash of these types of posts are serious or not. But, to answer the original 'issue', even Ryan's 'extreme' budget plan doesn't cut the size of the government. It only slows it's growth. In fact, it doesn't even balance the budget until 2040, and that is under some pretty idiot and unrealistic assumptions including not paying interest on existing debt, etc. And there is no indication that Romney would even go as far as Ryan's plan. So would we even be on track to get a balanced budget this century? I actually doubt it.
And add to that Ryan voted for all of the stimulus, bailouts, raising the debt ceiling, the Iraq invasion, indefinite detention of US citizens, the Patriot Act, etc. And Romney has voiced his support for all of these things and also signed into law things like gun control, climate change/carbon tax, and a little thing called Romney care which includes an individual mandate. These are all things that we, as Paul supporters, are pretty much against.
I'm sure I'm missing some more of the nasty things they have supported/voted for, so for them to claim that they are "for liberty", etc, rings pretty hollow. You should see the article that Ron wrote today about empty words. So very timely.
