WATCH the BOOKER - LONEGAN DEBATE
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 4 at 1:00 PM (EDT) from TRENTON NJ
LIVESTREAM: http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/livenow?id=9273713

Debate will re-air:
SUNDAY at 11:00AM on ABC CHANNEL 7. Also on Philadelphia’s WPVI TV, time?

The media has been trying to keep this quiet - I haven't seen any advertisements, from local stations!
Look at this politico story:
Working in Booker’s favor is the fact that the debate is on a Friday, in the middle of the day. It won’t be widely broadcast, meaning most voters will learn about it from the media. It minimizes the potential impact of any gaffe or slip-up.

Lonegan: We need a leader - not tweeter!

Best part was when Lonegan asked Booker if he'd ever held a job while he was in college. Booker was totally flummoxed. He had nothing to say! :D

Booker was not being honest when he claimed to be against NSA & the Patriot Act. All he can say is that we need to "have a conversation" about them. One of his aides admitted that he did not support Amash's ammendment to defund the NSA - he would never vote against either.

Lonegan is particularly outspoken in his opposition to the NSA surveillance, while Booker more cautious in his critique; in July a spokesperson for Booker said he opposed the narrowly defeated Amash amendment in the House, which would have banned the NSA's ongoing collection of the phone records of all Americans.

Been searching around for a video but it seems there aren't any?

Update:
Unbelievable- I just found this account of the debate at politico:
" At another point, Lonegan asked Booker if he’d ever held a job in college. But Booker was not rattled, laughing and shaking his head at the “epithets” Lonegan threw his way."

Lonegan is a hell-raiser like Steve Stockman while also having the policy chops of Mike Lee. And he is a grade A liberty candidate on the issues.

I saw part of it, liked Lonegan a lot. Moderators gave Booker the last word more then they should have, but it worked out in Lonegan's favor as Booker wound up agreeing with several of his answers. A couple times Booker sounded like he was saying 'me too!' instead of having his own thoughts.

Btw, there's a poll on who won the debate here:
http://www.nj.com/politics/index.ss...tangle_in_first_us_senate_debate_at_1_pm.html

That poll result is a clear sign that Lonegan has the momentum. I am praying for a Scott Brown-style upset in New Jersey. An upset here would be even more dramatic than Massachusetts because Lonegan is more conservative than Brown and Booker is more loved by the media than Coakley.

Is that realistically possible, given Booker's visibility both during the DNC and leading up to this?

I don't know about realistically, but its an off-cycle election day; a few weeks before the regular election day. A candidate with serious gotv and grassroots could surprise.

He says mostly the right things, but there's something about him that I just don't trust.

"America's role is not to be the police force of the rest of the world. It is not to use our military to intervene in every single action every country takes, if we continue this statist interventionist approach America will be perpetually in war." Lonegan
