[VID]RP Supporter asks F. Thompson: Where's Newt getting the delegates? - Silence.

Actually that is correct. If you ask questions that embarass or put the candidate in a tough spot, then you are not invited back into the briefings.
That's nothing to be afraid of. I'd rather make them squirm once and be blacklisted than sit silently by while they go through their fraudulent rituals.

Well...Grinch and Froth aren't on the ballots of states that combine for 560 delegates, so mathematically, neither of them can get enough delegates for the nomination.

Everyone needs to spread the word about that.

And to use a Nigel Farage term, Fred Thompson "has the charisma of a damp rag."

Dude put me to sleep in '07. He was like the Perry of that time, with everyone wanting him to jump in. When he finally did, he initial poll numbers were high but eventually imploded into the black hole of irrelevance and innate boredom of his "personality."

Where on earth is this 500 delegates number keep coming from? I think the Daily Paul is putting that number out, actually...As far as I know it's a grand total of 100 some-odd delegates that Newt does not have access to.

VA = 49
DC = 19
MO = 52

total = 120

Total delegates available = 2,227

120/2227 = 0.0539

So Newt loses access to 120, or 5.4% of the delegates. Not 500+ delegates like the DailyPaul keeps pushing.

Let's not embarrass ourselves. :(

Is there even an arguable case that other delegates aren't available (except VA, DC and MO)? Does anyone know how the argument there are others originates?

According to Fred's math that's.... 1 or 2 percent, right? LOL.

He's on the ballot in DC and the MO primary does not allocate any delegates so he is still eligible to win MO's 52 delegates from their caucus.

The only state where he cannot win delegates is VA.

So 49 delegates. 49.

So WTF is DailyPaul trying to do by getting us to perpetuate the 500+ myth?

• Newt Gingrich is not on the ballot in Missouri and Virginia and did not qualify for all of the delegates in Tennessee.

• Rick Santorum is not on the ballot in Virginia, Illinois and Washington, D.C., and did not qualify for all of the delegates in Ohio and Tennessee.

I think the 500+ figure is how many delegates Newt and Rick combined aren't able to contend for. Which can be taken far out of context as far as implications go.

Delegates
Total: 2,286
Needed to clinch the nomination: 1,144
Pre- Super Tuesday: 354
Super Tuesday: 437
Post Super Tuesday: 396
Total Pre-April: 1187 <--- During the apportioned requirement.
April: 484
May: 276
June: 339
Total Post April: 1099

Note: Totals listed are time coded to the general primary/caucus vote in each respective state. Many states, especially caucus states like Iowa will not actually assign delegates until weeks after general statewide voting concludes (Iowa for example holds it’s caucus on January 3rd, and it’s state convention does not conclude until the 16th of June)

I have a full break down if anyone wants it feel free to PM me. Just trying not to be too far off topic here. :o (information based on The Green Papers, please inform me if there is a more updated/specific source to use)

I'm still only getting somewhere between 49 and 120 delegates. not 560.

He should be asking him about the national polls that show Newt Gingrich down double digits against Obama. Or about Gingrich's continued lies claiming he balanced the budget even after Ron Paul called him out last night.
