Very Serious Allegations Made Against 2012 Ron Paul Campaign Manager Jesse Benton

I find it humorous that some here think McConnell would be surprised or offended by Benton's comments or not aware of Benton's view of him. It's obviously a marriage of convenience. You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours. It's how things work.

must spread reput ...

It's not helpful when Ron Paul supporters think that Ron or Rand Paul should not be engaging in the necessary political maneuvers that work. We need to do things that work.

People going "oh, I wish politics were oh, so pure. Because of that, I'm going to get upset when any evidence arises that my favored candidate engaged in any traditional, backroom dealing type politics" isn't helpful.

And there are a lot of people who push that idea here in the Ron Paul camp. Not helpful.

The people who aren't helpful are the ones who want to kowtow to people like Mitch McConnell and the GOP establishment rather than challenge them. Those are the people who are alienating supporters and allowing the GOP establishment to siphon our credibility, and it's all so conniving hacks like Benton can worm their way through the political system. I'm happy to see it blowing up in Benton's face. If McConnell loses to either Bevin or Grimes, it's a big time win for the liberty movement.

Bribing for endorsements didn't exactly work on caucus night.

Exactly. I don't have a problem with competent, veteran political operatives working on the Paul campaigns. But that's not what we're talking about here. Benton's proven himself to be a liability over and over again. McConnell's political career blowing up under his watch would be the best possible thing that could happen to the liberty movement.

It is fantastic to see Benton going down in flames. Now it's national news what an inept pile of excrement he is! I almost feel bad for Mitch McConnell. He didn't know what he was in for when he brought this putz in, LOL!

You do realize that this is being done to hurt Rand and the liberty movement in general, don't you? Are you still rejoicing? Why on earth do you think this is being drug up right now? Because they are looking for anything to stop Rand. They haven't been able to find anything to throw at him that will stick yet, so now they're approaching it from another direction. If they can destroy our inroads into the Iowa GOP, in addition to destroying any relationship our guys had with McConnell, then hell, that's two sticks with one stone.

It was Benton who screwed things up for the Paul campaign in Iowa, and he should be exposed before he can do any more damage. Keeping him behind the scenes in key, influential roles will only lead to more folly and scandal.

McConnell has been helping our guys overall. No, not because he agrees with us; to help his own hind end. But, to have the Minority Leader supporting your efforts is one hell of a lot better than having someone in that position that is trying to destroy you. Who will take McConnell's place as Minority Leader, if McConnell is not re-elected? And what if he stays? Does it make sense to poke him in the eye and lose his support by Fusaro making him look like an idiot for trusting Rand?

Play chess, not checkers.

ABC linked to both EPJ and the Iowa Republican (you didn't have to recall; you could have clicked the link as I just did). Now that you know, so what? Are you going to tell me again how influential my little thread here was? If it's that easy to get the attention of the mainstream media, maybe I'll think of some other things about which to start threads.

Oh, I am quite sure you will continue in the same manner you have been. Anything you can do to hurt Rand, you will do it.

Still having reading comprehension problems, I see.

Almost every post you make is either to bash Rand Paul or Jesse Benton, Ron Paul's son and grandson in law. Both are trusted by him.

So why exactly are you here, on Ron Paul forums, other than to cause trouble? I think after reading your hateful drivel for years, we all deserve an explanation.

No it is not.
It started with an ethics investigation in Iowa focusing on others. Back in May..

The investigation has led back to dealings with Benton.

For all the talk about "it is just politics" and "this is how it is done",, that is exactly what many people here hate about politics.
It was the Honesty and integrity of Ron Paul that attracted many (myself included).

Dishonesty and backroom deals are why people reject politics. It needs to be cleansed from the Liberty movement and purged from the ranks.
Even the appearance of impropriety should not be tolerated for a second,,, and certainly not defended.

Try to keep up. I'm supporting Rand now.

And the answer as to why I am here: I joined in May 2007 to support the candidacy of Ron Paul. Duh.

This just makes me think more more that Michele Bachmans self injection into Ron Paul events in Minnesota, her Run for President was all to sabotage Ron Paul. This doesn't make sense the Ron Paul campaign did not need Kent Sorenson at all, this is ridiculous. If true this was done to deliberately to sabotage Ron & Rand Paul. Let's get this investigation done & over with. Its good that Ben Swann is on the case to find out the truth.

Starting to really wonder about how Ron Paul runs his organizations? I am really getting tired of "he didn't know...it wasn't his fault" excuses. Nearly every presidential scandal is about underlings doings however the buck stops at the oval office. That is what leadership is about.
