The Nevada GOP will vote on October 22 whether or not to allow same day registration for the Presidential caucus.

Same-day registration allows anyone to walk into the Republican Presidential caucus, declare they want to be a Republican, register on the spot, vote and participate in the caucus.

The rule was initially passed in July but abandoned due to "tea party" protest for free of voter fraud.

The Chairwoman of the Nevada GOP, Amy Tarkanian, and Senator Dean Heller are FOR same day registration (to boost Republican party membership).

Seeing how the "tea party" was able to make the GOP abandon the rule they passed earlier, we CAN influence them by letting the voting members know that we support same-day registration as it will allow more people to join and get excited about the Republican Party.

What do you all think? Should we contact the voting members of the Nevada GOP? This can be a game changer because by not having a voter/party registration deadline, it can benefit us by being able to attract more Independents up to the day of the caucus.

Yes, and how can I?

I would like to get a consensus first before I give out the contact info of who to contact (which is public information anyways). I don't think a lot of random uninformed emails to the people voting on the proposal will help us. I'm not saying that's you but I'm hoping we can get a somewhat uniform message first then have only Nevada residents contact the members.

BUMP

What does everyone think about having same day registration for the Nevada caucuses? Should we be pushing for this? If so, I can provide contact information for the voting members of the Nevada GOP. They do hear the public because they were pressured by "tea partiers" to abandon the rule and put it up for a final vote on October 22.
