Easy, since god didn't write the bible, men did.
^^^^^^Bingo.
Easy, since god didn't write the bible, men did.
Canon 1250 All Fridays through the year and the time of Lent are penitential days and times throughout the entire Church.
Canon 1251 Abstinence from eating meat or another food according to the prescriptions of the conference of bishops is to be observed on Fridays throughout the year unless they are solemnities; abstinence and fast are to be observed on Ash Wednesday and on the Friday of the Passion and Death of Our Lord Jesus Christ.
Can. 1253 It is for the conference of bishops to determine more precisely the observance of fast and abstinence and to substitute in whole or in part for fast and abstinence other forms of penance, especially works of charity and exercises of piety.
The USCCB (United States Conference of Catholic Bishops) lifted the "don't eat meat on Fridays" outside of Lent. They are still penitential days, people are just encouraged to do other things in place of giving up meat. I'm not Mexican, but its possible that their bishops kept the "don't eat meat on Fridays" in place.
I can't seem to find the book of Canon in the Bible.
The early church did that before the third century. That's because you haven't thought of who compiled the canon that makes up the Bible

Here is a little you can read.Might want to read up a bit on who the "early church" was, how they practiced faith, how they organized themselves, etc.

1st Timothy 3:2 says that pastors must be the husbands of one wife. That is the church in the first century.
Why did Rome change that?
Oh, is that were people used to not be able to eat meat on Friday, and now God says it's okay? Somehow, I got the idea fish live in trees on Friday.
And last I remember, Mexicans in Mexico still can't eat meat on Friday. Seems God singled them out.
Most down here don't observe it that strictly. There are plenty of "carne asadas" barbecues planned on Fridays.
I'll admit it's been about 30 years since I lived there and if I asked for carne de rez on Friday, the restaurant wouldn't serve it.

This is a pretty damn amazing piece of news. This can really change the geopolitics of the region. I always thought the chrisitians were supposed to stand by the "chosen people" no matter what to fullfill some end of times prophesy. What happened?

1st Corinthians 7 is not talking about any office of church leadership...1st Timothy 3 is - directly.
