US Invades Somalia

Looks like they'll trot out some AQ name to justify any sort of illegal military aggression against another country. If anyone believes they're going after some lone AQ guy then Ive got a bridge to sell you.

For some odd reason, AQ loves to show up in countries with unexplored oil reserves not controlled by US oil companies, especially ones that China has recently been pursuing.

Asked to comment on China's relationship with Somalia, the foreign ministry said in July: "The Chinese side is willing to take an active part in Somalia's economic reconstruction and explore the possibilities of all kinds of cooperation with the Somali side."

Your solution would be?

Stay out of other people's country. What if China decided to unlawful invade the US to assassinate someone?

The US only does this to backwater African or Middle Eastern countries cause they think they can get away with it. They would never try that sh!t with a developed country with an actual military. Cowards.

Morning Brief: Clinton shows support for Somalia
Thu, 08/06/2009 - 9:09am

Top story: U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is holding talks in Nairobi today with President Sheikh Sharif Sheikh Ahmed of Somalia. Before the meeting, Clinton vowed to continue U.S. support for Somalia' fragile interim government. Large areas of Somalia are out of Mogadishu's control and the radical Islamist al Shabaab militia continues to further threaten the country's stability.

"They are trying to create areas that are conflict-free zones," Clinton said. "We have made clear we want to be supportive. We want to support the African intervention into Somalia."

The U.S. plans to increase its military aid to Somalia's government, doubling an initial shipment of 40 tons of arms. The U.S. has also begun a program to train Somali security forces in Neighboring Djibouti.

Clinton also paid tribute today to victims of the Nairobi and Dar es Salaam U.S. embassy bombings which happened 11 years ago this week. (Pictured.)

Where is the media? I understand that the U.S. media is worse than worthless. But what about foreign news sources? Shouldn't this be a HUGE story?

BTW, THIS IS the Zbigniew Bzrezinski operation. Obama is his puppet. Webster Tarply would say that the real agenda is to have a reason to go into Africa so that we can ultimately cut off China's source of African oil, and make them compete with Russia. Maybe Zbig got trigger happy because Obama seems to be going down in flames in his poll ratings and he needs to act before there is no political capital remaining.

So know we're at war with Somalia again?

When was this okay'd? I don't remember hearing anything about a resolution in Congress or nuthin

Wait, we were always at war with Somalia. And Eurasia is our ally. They've always been our ally.

Where is Ron Paul on this? Why haven't we heard anything from him? More undeclared war.

Nabhan is believed to have been hiding in Somalia in recent months

Saleh Ali Saleh Nabhan, a top al-Qaeda suspect, has been on the FBI's wanted list for years.
He was killed in an attack by US forces in southern Somalia on 14 September, a US official says. This has not been officially confirmed by Washington.
The 28-year-old Kenyan is wanted over 2002 attacks on a hotel and an Israeli airliner in Mombasa, Kenya.
Some reports suggests he was also involved in the 1998 bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.
Nabhan was "likely killed" in the raid by US forces, a US official told the BBC.
Another US official said the operation had been "successful" and he believed Nabhan was dead.
The attack - near Somalia's southern coastal town of Barawe - is said to have involved helicopters which attacked a vehicle carrying Islamists from the al-Shabab group.
Witnesses said the soldiers took away two men, and two bodies were left in the road after the attack.
'Top al-Qaeda officer'
Nabhan is believed to have owned the vehicle used in the attack on the Israeli-owned hotel near Mombasa in 2002 that killed 15 people.
He is also wanted by the FBI in connection with a botched missile attack on an Israeli airliner in Mombasa the same year.
Some reports in US media say Nabhan was involved in the bombings of the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania in which more than 250 died.
Nabhan - alongside a number of other al-Qaeda-linked foreign suspects - has reportedly been hiding in rebel-held areas in Somalia for some time.
An internal US government report describes Nabhan as a top al-Qaeda officer in east Africa, according to ABC News.
The report claims that Nabhan ran training camps in Somalia for foreign fighters.

How convenient. I wonder how many deductions he declared on his CIA paycheck?

Right there in the text:
"...FBI believes he's been hiding there"
Oh Boy... there's 'TEAR-WRISTS' everywhere these days. Confirmed or Non-Confirmed

They have to Protect US, because they want to destroy US because we are FREE!

They never finish that sentence... Because the US government is FREE to invade, overthrow, control, rule, bomb, assassinate, force, bribe, ehhhhh, just everything you can think of that a powerful totalitarian government can do to a foreign nation and it's people.

Keep in mind that we are in 132 countries, iirc and the only ones you hear about are Iraq, Afghanistan and occasionally Pakistan. This sort of thing isn't that rare - but the news media doesn't report on it.

They absolutely do finish it. "American exceptionalism" is the philosophy that's at the very core of or disagreements with the establishment's supporters.

As much as we believe in freedom, they absolutely believe that America has the moral right and the moral obligation to run the world. That's why all the factual arguments in the world won't work - it's like watching the creationists "debate" with the evolutionists.

We believe the concept is jingoistic and hyperbolic, while they believe that it is absolutely the only real mission our country was intended to serve.
