The campaign still has tickets to give away to the Republican Leadership Conference in New Orleans!

EVERY vote counts, and this straw poll is one of the most watched straw polls in the nation.

ORDER YOUR TICKETS HERE:
http://www.ronpaul2012.com/2011/05/26/ron-paul-needs-your-help-now/

Ron Paul is scheduled to speak at 2pm on Friday Jun 17th. The after party for his supporters will be held at the Gordon Biersch Brewery next door to follow at 4pm.

If you want to go and vote in the straw poll but can't afford the travel expenses, start a ChipIn and post it to the forums to receive donations.

Yeah, be careful a bit who you give these to. I saw a write up about the campaign offering free tickets on an article about the moneybomb. The cell phone number bit is a good control, as well as coordination device.

I ordered my ticket and am working on a place to stay and have an active chipin for gas that is 12% filled as of this writing. Really looking forward to RP winning this straw poll!!

Can we get another Chip-In post with an ExCel sheet so we know who needs money? I'm pretty busy and broke, but I think that would help a great deal. Also, maybe help folks needing carpools.

I was contacted about receiving the ticket, but once I responded to their first email, I was immediately asked (within about 5 minutes of me responding to their email) to volunteer at their booth, which I would be unable to do. Since then, I've received no response...so I hope I will still be receiving a ticket. Especially since I have the flight/hotel ready.

I hope this is just normal, and they just wanted to confirm whether or not I could volunteer as well.

Gage, if you got a call from the campaign then your reservation is confirmed. Volunteering is in no way a condition for getting your ticket. ;>)

In addition to confirming each reservation to make sure the folks who signed up for a ticket are really going to be there, we're also recruiting volunteers to help with registration, the RP 2012 booth in the exhibition hall, literature distribution to attendees, and folks to escort our registrants from the registration table directly to where they cast their straw poll vote.

Anyone want to volunteer, let me know.

I'm not absolutely certain I received a call from the campaign, but I did miss at least two calls. But I assume the email is a part of the same confirmation process.

Yep, if we called and couldn't reach you, we sent a confirmation email with the staff person for you to contact to confirm your reservation.

There are chip ins to fill, perhaps Napoleon's Shadow could bump THAT thread, or I will.

The campaign called me to confirm that I can go. Left message when I wasn't here, and I just got back. What do I tell them? That I can only go *if* I get a chipin filled? How much advance notice do they need if I say I will be there, and then can't do it because I don't have the money for gas? Anyone else in this situation? If so, how did you handle it?

Deb, does the campaign have any estimated value for a vote? If I have to spend $300 for travel and hotel, would you guys consider that $300 better donated to the campaign?

That's a bit hard to do without a crystal ball. In 2010, the marginal value of two more votes (which would have put Ron Paul ahead of Mitt Romney) was probably several hundred thousand dollars worth of media coverage.

Exactly why I asked...they have a better idea what their numbers are vs what they might need. I get the feeling a lot of people are going to meet up, participate, or see Ron, but I just want to do what's best for the campaign. My guess is it's not worth $300, but if I pick up others along the way (whether they chip in or not) or crash at someone's place suddenly it may be worthwhile. I was hoping the locals would organize an event or two for us out of staters to contribute to but I guess they're sitting on their hands like in '07.
