URGENT * DEADLINE 7/28 MIDNIGHT* Grassroots Talent Needed for FULL PAGE Iowa ad

All my final ads in the collection posted thus far are with Gage's photos...

Permission :

"The photos are licensed under CC-BY-SA, you are free to use the photos, as long as you put my name somewhere."

Thanks,
Gage Skidmore

Gage is a person. Look at the 'final post' submission, people are saying who used Gage's images. He reserves 'some rights' meaning he asks for credit for the image. Those ads that do not have credit to him have to add that or else get his permission. Fortunately, apart from the Time image, a lot seem based on his images. The Getty ones are cheap, otherwise royalty free, and a price list was posted by Tarzan at one point in the stickied thread.

I currently store pics online at photobucket.com but since I only use the free service my images are recompressed to 1mb in size. Are there any other free photo storage websites that don't have any size restrictions?

I checked that website out & it says that you get 5MB of media storage free. The 300dpi print-quality ad that I submitted on this thread came out to 5.6MB when I made it into a jpeg with the best quality settings in photoshop. The original photoshop file I have is over 57.5MB. Also it looks like onfinite will add a Image Watermark/Banner on the pics for images in the "Free" plan.

Flatten the file, res it down to 280, convert it to CMYK and save it as a 'print' PDF. That will get it under 5mb.

Hmm.. I have a free account and they don't watermark mine. You might have to register.

Try Josh's link too.. ?

I tried out imgur.com & it looks good. I don't think they compress the pics down & I don't think there is a limited amount of storage space. They don't want you to upload copyrighted images though.

HERE YOU GO! I HOPE ITS NOT TOO LATE!

I am sorry for the late response, but please acknowledge me anyway. I really like what was presented last time. I think this time US citizens carrying the US Map to Washington with Dr. Paul's message a crossed it and Us supporters making up the negative space would be beautiful. The message has to be BOLD and has to POP needs to say WE ARE AWAKE///or maybe something in regards to the Movie Rise of the Guardians coming out in Nov 2012,,,there may be some association ...remember V for Vendetta. Who is in charge of the art work for this campaigne anyway. i would like to talk and brainstorm. I am visual arts and photography teacher. You can use me. email is [email protected]

So which ad got used in the end? It ran already right?

No it runs for the straw poll, there is a special pull out section that will be in the paper in the morning and the pull out will also be given out at the straw poll. However, we aren't sure which ad, the communication broke down. It is one of the ones on the picture of Ron at srlc.

Hi! This was for an ad being run by the superpac, not the campaign, although they sometimes ask for ideas, too. We are planning on using some of the others that weren't used for cards to hand out at the debate/county fairs etc.

How much does a full or half page ad cost in major Iowa newspapers?

This particular picture costs $995 for the ad, according to Sunny (I was thinking we could run our own when it looked like none might be picked.) We are also thinking of using some to print the time and address of the For Liberty screening on the night before the straw poll, and the iowaforronpaul.com web page, and handing them out at the debate two days before the straw poll -- and at county fairs.

I'm thinking that the REAL full page ad we had last time was more than that, $1600 or something (I saw the old thread recently)

The special section one deadline has passed, and whether we could squeeze something in (if you were thinking along those lines) is something we would still have to find out.
