Hang in there folks.
Since 2007, I've tried to dare my fellow sinners (Christians who tell me they know what it means to repent of their sins) to leave it all in God's hands, and to be free and courageous as some of the people of these forums have dared me to be free and courageous.
Here is what I have found:
These WEAK Christians repeat to me the lies (fear mongering & pride) they heard on Fox etc. and then
ALWAYS end their spiel with
"...but that's okay, God is in control, and Jesus is the answer/solution."
As soon as they finish, I tell them
"How about we START with God is in control and Jesus is the answer?"
I then work it backwards daring them to be Christ-like first and when we get to their perceived enemies (the fear/pride stuff), I ask them why fear man if God is in control? I point out the un-Christ like attitude of that fear and pride.
And then I do it again the next time they bring the fear and pride up... and again, and again, and again... ugh.
It is like trying to ween Bilbo off the ring -that "fellowship" movie scene when Gandalf is encouraging Bilbo to give over the ring and Bilbo starts getting in Gandalf's face.
It is a brainwashed mindset that controls their responses
unless they are pressed hard. Pretty sad how letting fear and sin in leads to that. REALLY sad for
Christians.
Recently I've started insisting that any political conversation with a Christian first and ONLY consist of truths that point to God -no way am I going to converse 'round and 'round with some inconsistent FOX "talking point".
It gets real quiet because they don't know how to proceed like that. lol gggggrrrrr
I'm always curious what methods other FEARLESS
mature-of-faith Christians have tried to de-program these cowardly milk eaters. lol I mean that lovingly -I really do.
I used to be a milk-eater.:o
