Upset. Disappointed. Hurt. Ashamed.

Maybe we all should just vote for Hillary Clinton so the country will die faster and we can put it out of its misery, like a wounded dog that can't be treated

Gentle, and hopefully soothing reminder, the American Revolution took a couple of generations to occur and then only had about 1/3rd support of the populace. What Ron/Rand Paul started, you and your children could finish! It might take some in your face tyranny to wake people up, but I think Rand moved the ball forward quite a bit in his efforts to become President.

The bright side is that I don't have to bother tuning in to this election cycle any longer. Time to assess lessons learned and find the next move for liberty. This fight for liberty never ends and therefore can't be won. I fight because I love the fight, and I love liberty.

For me . . . since our voice is not wanted, then there is no need for our 5% or whatever of the votes either - no hand in the demise.

I'm not going to feel ashamed. I think the campaign was really hoping for a more powerful student turnout in Iowa. That would have really galvanized his 50 state model. Bernie Sanders grassroots org raised $3M, one of which happened during his speech. He would have needed that kind of commitment to make it really fly. He would have needed serious help with ads and so forth to compete in NH and SC. With students who weren't willing to back up what they said, it would never have worked.
I will not be shamed for being American and excercising my right to express myself and my beliefs through my support of Rand Paul.

Oh they turned out, but too many of them voted for someone else once they got there.

I agree with you about everything except "ashamed." I have no reason to be ashamed because I'm not one of those Christians who goes around beating war drums. I support Christ's message of peace. But upset, disappointed, and hurt....yeah. All of that.

Keep in mind that Rand said his campaign is "suspended" not "ended". Ron did the same thing and I'm pretty sure the reason for not ending the campaign is in case something happens to cause a big upset and some leaders drop out or get hit by a bus he would still be eligible to restart his campaign. Also it means he doesn't need to feel pressured to endorse anyone this way.

The first thing that popped in my head when I read that was.."Fool me once, shame on you.."

sorry..

I can count on one hand the things the regime does that Jesus Christ would approve of.

It's a sad day, and I am ashamed of being called an American.
I feel such shame every day. That's why I don't call myself "American"-I am human. Ur nation-States are satanic enterprises.

You mean like the Feds cold bloodedly shooting a peaceful rancher in the face and killing him?

It's a shame, but all the signs were there. Disappointing Iowa performance with a vast amount of anti-establishment support going towards Trump and Cruz instead of Rand. Donations slowing down and funds running dry. Polling in New Hampshire not offering any encouragement. Likely failure to meet qualifications for next debate. Most importantly, perhaps, the need to focus on the upcoming Senate campaign. All of these and I'm sure more, weighed heavily on the minds of Rand's campaign staff after Monday night.

Anyone that followed Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012 has felt this before, so I guess it's easier to be prepared. Please don't be too discouraged. There are many avenues on how we can hope to achieve liberty in this country and in the world. Gaining the presidency is only one path of thousands that can be taken. Just look at what Ron Paul has been doing with his home schooling program, his Ron Paul Liberty Report, and what Rand has been doing with his filibusters or his free eye surgery service in impoverished nations. These guys aren't giving up on spreading liberty, nor will they ever give up. And we should do the same. There are many ways to spread the word to keep the fight alive.

The media, corrupted political parties, destruction of civil liberties, and education are where the focus needs to be and where it always has needed to be. Please do not give up on these things and working to make these things better in these areas, or we truly have lost.

Local races are becoming so very important since mandates from the federal level (and above, like Agenda 21 from the UN) are ultimately enacted at your local level.
