Updates on Shem Kellogg's cancer

Stay strong, brother. You can still find medicinal quality cannabis, it is just that the risk is higher.

I'd be in New Hampshire in a heartbeat if I found out you were being harassed/criminalized in your attempt to seek medicine.

Fucking ridiculous.

Yeah I really suck at these kinds of things. Sorry for denigrating this to 'these kinds of things'. But I don't really know what to say.. I feel the need to show some support though since that's the very least I can do. I've talked to Shem on chat a whole bunch of times, don't know him that well but I hate seeing anyone sick, let alone that young and that severe, so, yeah, stay strong Shem. You're in my thoughts as I don't do prayers :).

I know from several friends and acquaintances that have undergone chemo that it's a lot better, easier, and more effective than it was just 15 years ago. God bless you Shem, and you are still in my prayers.

Let us know if there is anything we can do, we're right here in "the 'Shire".

If you can't reach us for some reason, get a hold of Keith, he has my contact info.

Go gett'em buddy! God bless!

And if you need anything, there's a forum's worth of people willing to help!

I hope you get better. One thing that can help is having more plant based foods and avoiding red meats.

And less sugar, all forms of it.

The next best thing you can do is keep a positive can-do attitude. We are here for you.

Hey Shem, just dropping by to say that I mentioned your cancer to a number of friends and my godmother, and we're all praying for you. :) May The Force be with you, brother. ~hugs~

So Shem, are you using the CBD hemp oil? No law against that. The people that are going to be the go-betweens for doctors and the four NH MJ dispensaries are familiar with CBD oil and can help with dosage. There was this guy at PorcFest this summer (he was selling soap) who is one of the go-betweens.

Thanks for all the support, guys

I'm not sure about the legality of it, but it didn't do anything for my pain. You have to understand that I am later stage cancer so I am experiencing quite a bit if pain. And this stuff is relatively expensive.

Btw You are referring to Dennis and Hershel (Shire Soaps).

I have yet to try 100% CBD hemp oil which lacks THC, but I'm not sure how much it helps for pain. It should help reduce tumor growth, it should help improve your appetite, and I think it should help with pain to some extent - but I would think that cannabis with THC would help more with pain and possibly mood and such. I think the CBDs may act somewhat in concert with the THC for pain reduction, but not totally sure.

When people talk about cannabis for cancer patients, there are two components. Using it to help with chemo treatments to help with the pain and appetite and then there is using it for curing cancer itself. If you want to use it to cure cancer you need a LOT of CBDs. If you want to use it to feel better from the chemo I would recommend getting stoned on the old fashioned stuff with THC.

Never used it for Cancer. (as far as I know)
But It has benefits. many and varied.
As far as "pain relief", some strains have a mild analgesic effects. Though it is not a pain killer.
I had damage done to my back. I'm not disabled but it is annoying.. Pot helps that,, not so much by killing it,,but by letting me ignore it.
and the mood stability is a big benefit to me.

Have been following you Shem.. you are in prayer.
