Update: Rand Paul reddit AMA set for Thursday @ 7:30 pm ET!

it still says live?

It's over.

He concluded with this:

Thanks for joining me here tonight. It was fun, and I'd be happy to do it again sometime. I think it's important to engage people everywhere, and doing so online is very important to me. I want to fight for you as President. I want to fight for the whole Bill of Rights. I want to fight for a sane foreign policy and for criminal justice reform. I want you to be more free when I am finished being President, not less. I want to end our debt and cut your taxes. I want to get the government out of your way, so you, your family, your job, your business can all thrive. I have lots of policy stances on my website, randpaul.com, and I urge you to go there. Last but not least -- if you know anyone in Iowa or New Hampshire, tell them all about my campaign!
Thank you.

No problem. He seems to have stopped at the moment. Not sure if it's over or not. He hasn't updated saying it's over yet so we'll see.

I really hope he does more, Rand supporters will never let him live it down if he doesn't at least answer questions for 10 hours.

Just created an account and up voted every post. First experience with Reddit. Def see how one could get lost in the Reddit hole.

We all need to stay on there and help answer the highly up-voted unanswered questions/criticism that Rand didn't address. A lot of people will be reading that thread tonight.

Edit - And upvote the pro Rand comments.

Is anyone else a little disappointed that he only answered 25 questions?

That's actually more than most AMAs. He also gave detailed answers for the most part. Judging by the general reaction in the comments, this was very positive for him. I read tons of "Im joining the Rand Paul bandwagon". "Finally somebody who makes sense" and many other positive comments. Sure there were some trolls and hardcore democrats in the mix, but the reception was positive overall.

His ending message leads you to believe he intends to do another one at some point so he can answer more then.

For the unanswered questions, can some reddit users reply with answers that rand would give via his website or one of his youtube videos or something.

So people know what Rand's take is one some of the issues, even if he didn't answer it himself.

Great point, he left the possibility open, which will leave people hungry for more. I don't get the point of comparison here, it's like saying other politicians lie it's not that bad. Rand has a huge web presence, and lots of people tuned in that might not even know what Reddit is, and some of them possibly tuned in only so they could ask a question. I've only participated a few of these, have read a lot of them multiple times, especially his dad's. Saying that it is no big deal that no one answered the question that someone possibly joined Reddit just for the chance of asking is an understatement to say the least. This is the point where he is supposed to sell us that he is a person, which he sort of touched on but going for a burrito isn't enough substance.
