Edit: In any case, Amanda Carpenter is in a hotel room on a bed taking a selfie with what is likely a package of condoms next to her on a Tuesday.

There is something circular in the right side, but that's about all I can get, and I don't know why she would have two attached on her bed.

Seeing condoms there is likely just confirmation bias. there is something roundish on the right but it's a bit too far in to seem realistic for a condom location. Not to mention it could be a whole bunch of other things - some kind of pass or ticket, wallet, etc

It's not flat, so it isn't a ticket, piece of paper, etc. It's too small to be a wallet, it is about the size of a two squares attached together. I'm trying to find about 5 different posts I saw on twitter with this..

I'm looking at this from the other angle right now. March 1st is super tuesday. She must be broadcasting out of town if she is in a hotel (unless it's a weekly tryst in town). It's earlier in the day though, she says she'll be on set later tonight. Cruz was in texas that night. Wonder where both were throughout the day. Also, husband unlikely to travel on one day business trip.

And I don't know where you are getting these ideas like "it wasn't flat" but it must be confirmation bias. People prone to confirmation bias also are prone to support Trump so it's not surprising.

Also something I didn't bother bringing up but: why would a Christian conservative married professional by posting a work-related pic on Instagram with condoms next to her on her bed? The answer I am expecting to get is "it was a mistake" but there's some things that are very hard to screw up and that is one of them.
