BISMARCK, N.D. (WTW) — Supporters of Republican presidential candidates Ron Paul and Rick Santorum aren't happy with the North Dakota GOP's process for choosing national convention delegates.
More than 100 people want to be delegates to the national Republican convention in August in Tampa, Florida.
A North Dakota Republican convention committee is suggesting a slate of 25 delegates.
Santorum and Paul backers say the list is mostly supporters of Republican candidate Mitt Romney. Former North Dakota Republican chairman Gary Emineth is a Santorum backer, and he says the process is "a railroad job."
The delegate candidates' names were displayed on two large screens. Some delegates appealed for a printed ballot with all of the names listed alphabetically. They were outvoted.
that they were outvoted does not sound good.
